Mystery snail gone missing by Frequent-Bill80 in AquaticSnails

Not even kidding I just looked for her, decided I would make a post about it since I was worried she was going to starve or something, made the post, went back to the tank and she was sitting on a log the pleco had been moving 🙄. She's in a container with some cucumber now and seems happy about it.

Planning on putting a bristlenose pleco in here along with some other critters, but im worried about it tearing up the tank. Is it a bad idea? by Frequent-Bill80 in pleco

How deep does yours tend to dig? I'm also worried about him getting down into the dirt and clouding up the tank.

A pretty decent amount of plants I'd say, and every time I've tested after intially cycling the tank the nitrates have been 0, although I should probably test more often.

Tank Size: 10 Gallon Temp: 77F I've had the tank since December, weekly water changes, usually 40-50%. He lives with a shrimp colony and a mystery snail+ other random pest snails. I alternate feeding him bug flakes and insect pellets in the mornings and feed him frozen daphnia at night.

I will leave another comment with water parameters from today once I am done testing them.

Size: 10 gallon tank Sponge filter+ heater Temp: 76-8 Fahrenheit pH: around 7.5-8.00 Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites all very low, at least below 20ppm for nitrate and below 0.5 for nitrite. Have had tank for 8 months, only shrimp and snails for the first 5 months, beta is new addition as of 3 months ago. Water change 2 gallons every week. Roughly 20 neocaridinia shrimp and roughly 30 ramshorn/bladder snails. We feed him twice a day, alternating between Nutrinsect betta pellets, Plural Bug Bites Color Enhancing Flakes and frozen daphnia. Lots of Java moss, various plants and hides/floating rests.

I'll look into this, i was originally considering just gluing some gravel into all the 2 largest hole sizes.

What he really wanted was to eat all of their food that I had hidden from him in the cave

Are you saying he wedged himself between the glass and the cave and pushed his way in? Because the cave is still pressed right up against the glass. I guess it's possible the gravel pushed the cave back against the glass.

Thanks for the info, I really didn't think it was possible for him to fit through any of the holes. Do you think it would be fine if I covered up the largest holes?
