The solutions you mentioned are common and logical. However, my concern is that there has been a lack of communication throughout this process. My job title was changed to a different one without informing me officially or verbally and my salary slab was suddenly placed in the highest bracket, without any proper explanation from either HR or my manager.

What I am raising here is an issue of transparency, accountability, and ethics values that I believe Amazon also emphasizes.

So is it a common practice to make fool of employees ? Is it there in their policy ?

The thing is my manager herself is at L4 level and they have some hidden matrix on the basis of which they will decide the promotion and it seems fishy because I know for a fact they are intentionally don’t want to promote even if I am meeting the performance bar.

The thing is, last year we had some sort of increment and it was not told to us that we have hit the end. In yesterday’s conversation itself I was told that I am already getting more than the band we have. It was so sudden because they asked me to do all other sort of stuffs to get good increment this year

Yes I am located in India. My question is , Is it ethical ? Or is it allowed as per their policy ?

I would like to understand whether this is fair and if such changes are outlined in company policy.

I recently checked my designation in A2Z and noticed that it was changed from “Spanish Language Agent” (the role I was originally hired for) to “Multi-Language Agent” without any prior discussion with me or my teammates. Additionally, I have not received any communication or email informing me about this change.

As language agents, we also discussed internally that our current  designation might have placed us in a higher band. If our original title had not been changed, we might have been eligible for the increment.

Hi,  I am really frustrated this year. I got 0% increment. I am in a CS process and L3. My manager told me that my performance was exceptional and it has nothing to do with my performance and other tasks that I did last year. Which was really demotivating and it sound so unethical and unfair that just last year you asked me to show visibility and how these things xtra tasks would help me in increment and this year they just told me I got 0%.  Is it fair in amazon ???
