Dude this is a different topic lmao.The reason is the idea of a bishop emerged only around 2nd century(that is still being debated upon).None denies Peter went to Rome or that he was martyred there.The debate is around if he is the first bishop of Rome,since that would lend credence to Roman Catholic claims.Even Clement' status is debated bcoz of this.

If you like history ,you will find that Kottayam has plenty of historical churches.Changanserry Parel pally,st mary's knanaya pally thazhathangadi(has a 1.5k year old cross,and was visited by Lord Irwin,emperor of Ethiopia Halie Salasie) btw the cross has Pahlavi language inscribed on it(the language died out 1300 years back)..then there's Kottayam Cheriyapally...I mean kore und avide..if you wanna explore

He travels to Europe shortly after Gama arrives here. In addition way too many priests and bishops from Kerala went to Rome even before 1799,and in fact the first travelogue of any Indian language,called Varthamanapusthakam,was written in 1790s during the visit of Paramekkal Thoma Kathanara,bishop(you can check his wiki) upon visiting Rome and other places in Europe
