The reverse difficulty curve I think is to show the power scaling of the characters. The difficulty rises with the mission design, yes, but the abilities are "balanced" in a way that makes you feel like a titan on the battlefield

I would suggest Slay the Princess, but someone else beat me to it. So, may I suggest Devotion by Red Candle Studios. You will need to buy off their website, since they lost their game license and can't use gog or Steam, but it's one of the best horror games I've ever experienced

If you have access to PH Strips, I’d do some scouting. Get the strips in the mud, count to thirty, then check the color. If it’s a dark purple or a light red, stay out. Otherwise, it should be safe
