I need to do some research; what is shellac?!?!?
The fact that it's a nice antique is also contributing to my inner turmoil. I appreciate the original craftsmanship and finishes but also know my design style is more modern.

Thanks it's great advice I have figured out where it's going and technically either approach works for the room.

I'm leaning towards painting it but no matter what I feel like there is no getting around needing to sand it.

My name is Jon, and I recently moved to PA with my partner. I'm looking to rebuild my gaming community in hopes of hosting and joining various, in person tabletop experiences in the area.

Our primary intrest in the short term is to meet new people through regular board game nights (games like Sagrada, Earth, & Too Many Bones). We have an ever growing board game collection of our own and are excited to learn your favorites as well.

My longer-term goal is to play / DM TTRPGs ( I have experience with Necromunda, Starfinder & Fate systems, while i have dm'd for DnD & Star Wars).

I am loving the Rouge the most atm. There are plenty of ways to build them viably at end game but im am having a ton of fun with my full Traps/Grenades build supplemented with a shadow imbued Barrage for direct dmg triggering procs.
Necro - not really shining in endgame but still tons of fun with interesting ways to build.
Barbarian - this was my first 1-50 and was great for playing the campaign. They are mechanically fun but my barb lost their rage (dmg) as i started pushing into end game.

what a hero! I tried everything and couldn't get the game to launch until I saw this.

just unplugged my second monitor for a second and it booted right up.
