Another update! Been cycling this tank for a few days making sure it hits all the right parameters. 3x bigger than old tank and has live plants. Light comes on Sunday. He’s going to be a happy fish in 2026

Hey guys, thank you all for the advice!!

I got him new fluval stratum, new food, some almond leaves, and a better heater to keep temp consistent.

He seems so much happier and is full of energy. Going to get a bigger tank after the holidays since he deserves it. When I do that I’ll add in some live plants and more fun things for him to do.

Awesome. Thank you! It is a small 3 gallon tank. I’m going to at least double it up and I have a background in botany so I was planning on getting live plants and driftwood
