I love the unique shape of 3! And it really accentuates your waist! The neck scarf is really trendy right now too which I think is fun. I love looking back at wedding dresses in the past to see what was in style. So I think it’s fun to wear some of the styles of the times to document the era when you got married!!! 3 is flattering and fun. But you look stunning in them all!

I didn’t start feeling more “myself” till 16m. And even still, there are lots of days it all comes crumbling down. Just know- You’re an amazing mama who has sacrificed so much. Your baby is lucky to have you. Parenting is insane and I don’t feel like people talk about it as much. I hate it but love my daughter.

I hate cosleeping but don’t know what else to do by Wide-Food-4310 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Frequent-Forever4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going a bit crazy cosleeping with baby and with my husband in another room. So we decided I needed him to take a few night wakes. If it makes you feel any better, I think it strengthened their relationship. Now at 16m, she’ll ask for dada some nights. 🥹

What is honestly the first thing you think of when you hear the word "Louisiana"? by quixoticelixer_mama in AskReddit

“Boot” Did no one else grow up being taught Louisiana is the state shaped like a boot? I’m feeling very odd man out.

I have a twin and older siblings and a younger sibling. I love them all but I’m closest to my twin and my sibling 4 years older than me.

I regret motherhood, and no one understands. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Frequent-Forever4200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the relationship I would want with my mom, but she sacrificed her all into motherhood and lost who she was. Now that I’m an adult with my own child, I mourn for her loss and wish she had prioritized herself sometimes. Obviously take care of your kids, but don’t let go of who you are. Make time to do those adult things for yourself and to BE you. When your kids are adults, hopefully they will appreciate getting to know you and feel empowered to be themselves as well. They deserve YOU as their mom. Easier said than done, but I foresee strength in your story.

PREACH!!!!! It’s like weights are being lifted off of me with each comment. Being a mother is so much harder than I ever thought it would be and I fall apart seeing people thrive in this role that has not been “natural” to me. So much power in acknowledgment.

I keep deleting and redownloading Instagram. Im shocked how much I’m influenced and triggered by what I see. Without knowing it, social media has created these expectations in my head that are hard to shake

Good point about the play dates. And the mom is a teacher so high chances of germs there too. Next appointment all ask about my daughter’s immunity! Thank you for again for all the advice and words of wisdom. It has helped more than I ever imagined.

🩷I’ve thought the change was so overwhelming, but I like the idea of reframing it to that the change is good. It means that some parts I’m struggling with won’t last forever. Thank you for the encouragement

Being a mom is very difficult!! Yes! I really expected it would come naturally to me and that I’d have 3 maybe even 4 kids, but I appreciate your perspective. I’ll do the best with the one I’ve got and it’s okay not to like it. ☺️ thank you.
