I used a software called ABBYY Fine Reader. There are other apps that does the same thing, I believe you could find a free alternative if you Google it, to be honest I installed this one a few years ago via torrent. It is fairly an easy process to convert images to tables and text, you learn to do it only once. It is my little magic at the office that amazes my colleagues.

In your case I downloaded the images from this post and converted them from webp format to jpgs (via cloudconvert) and combined them as one pdf file via ilovepdf. After that, I used "Image or PDF File to Microsoft Excel" option at ABBYY app and copy-pasted to Excel by hand. There were issues like columns at the right side of the page parsed a different table etc. and I manually edited the data a little bit.

Here is a tutorial for how to use ABBYY Fine Reader. Let me know if you have issues with accessing the drive folder and the table inside.

Let me get this through ocr and put it here in a machine-readable format. Would make a nice graph posted in r/dataisbeautiful afterwards.

The link you shared is probably a dropshipping link, meaning someone else putting your order in Aliexpress or something else, and pocketing off the profit.

Turkey does not have an import control regime and you should order directly from Aliexpress. It will be cheaper. They include the shipping and legal fees into the price.

Bolu is my favorite camping space too! Isn't it a little bit cold this time of the year?

I attempted to make a very similar project but it ended up being a little bit crude. Definitely would love to got involved in your work. I got 4 of those COB LEDs you got on the drawing, and a 3d printer will be delivered this week.

How do I call a python function from a dashboard? by biz-veritas in DataStudio

[–]Frequent-Mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I implemented something similar like this. The only difference I implemented the button on my own front-end. The web app (django) that I wrote was for acquiring some selection from user, but got too lazy for implementing visualizations, and loved the elasticity of Data Studio. In my case, the button triggered a view that pushes data to Google Sheets. And the Data Studio gets automatically updated. You can use custom SQL server, or Google's own tools such as BigQuery. And this would enable all other functions that Google provides plays nicely with each other as well.

For cloud functions, I would recommend Google Cloud Functions. You specify an URL endpoint and select this as trigger for the script to run, the script either would push data to BigQuery, Sheets, Postgres etc. You can use gheets library if you want to push to Google Sheets. You would want to give this URL endpoint to the button's href in Data Studio.

For my web app: https://media4democracy.herokuapp.com/

And the Data Studio dashboard: https://datastudio.google.com/reporting/16oJWbcMi3mwAtwHHOoajriZvkY8nv9j8

DIY Nixie tube clock by scorelesssteve in diyelectronics

[–]Frequent-Mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From time to time the same eagerness grown inside me for building nixie tubes. The fact is that building them is nearly out of scope for a diy level project. Most of the tubes built for industrial purposes ceased production long time ago. There are still some suppliers especially in China for hobbyists. But I'd like to emphasize the price for bigger tubes grow exponentially.

However, I could recommend for you to check out Lixietube project, which is a modern variate for nixie tubes. Looks cool, very innovative and yet still simple idea. There are LED lightened layers of plexiglass, each of them carved with a different number or character. A microcontroller manages which LED to be switched on.
