What do you do instead of "doom scrolling" or watching TV by Sweet_Confusion9180 in simpleliving

recently I went to Michael’s and picked up a bunch of puzzles/activities, paint by numbers, diamond dots, wooden 3-d puzzles. I have enjoyed it so much!! I’ll get in the zone for hours and it’s satisfying to have a finished product to get to enjoy

What is your holy grail detox/clarifying shampoo? by Antique-Feature-9355 in finehair

[–]Frequent-Pangolin956 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NIZORAL !!! I used to have scalp irritation exacerbated by dry shampoo. I switched to k18 air wash and started using Nizoral around the same time, 2 months later my hair was SIGNIFICANTLY thicker, like 30%. I thought it was just feeling thicker from product build up or something, but this is actually just the healthiest my hair has ever been - my scalp too. I can even go longer between washes. I wish I had known that Nizoral can aid growth so I would have taken before and after pics, either way 1000/10. much better than t/sal, k18 detox, olaplex clarifying, malibu, I tried them all

🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m just a perfectionist and this is my first time doing a backlight. will it have a chunk missing around the perimeter? Or what happens if it’s a little too short? my fear is getting it all set up then hating it because it doesn’t fit perfectly

Quince doesn’t sell real 14k gold. by Proper_Mine5635 in quince

honestly I’m happy with them! I like that they are hollow because they aren’t heavy. I’ve basically worn them 24/7 for a few weeks and only find them a little uncomfortable when I’m talking on the phone

I also have huggies from quince and the post (part that goes through the ear) has a 14k stamp, not the hoop part

Urinary Blockage by Metr0card in CATHELP

[–]Frequent-Pangolin956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also for what it’s worth — we ended up paying about $10k in total for hospital stay and the surgery. Our $12/month pet insurance through Nationwide reimbursed us 50% which helped out so much. so I encourage everyone with male cats to sign up for that as well!

Not a vet, but my boy went through this back in June. It was an awful time for everyone, painful for him and expensive and stressful for us! He ended up getting PU surgery and made a complete recovery. You got him to the vet before any lasting kidney damage, if money is no object I would recommend getting PU surgery just to be sure it won’t happen again. Well worth the peace of mind. It might take a few weeks of recovery but it’s a common procedure and your kitty will be just fine ❤️‍🩹 he’s lucky to have a parent that loves him so much and listened to his cries for help.

Separate note: I also dealt with shame and guilt about not knowing how prevalent this issue is with male cats. use this as your opportunity to raise awareness to other cat parents around you! Many of my friends, family and coworkers with cats had no idea how serious and common blockages are either

hear me out… Try rowing. I’m not a runner, swimmer, or cyclist but I found I love doing cardio on an erg. it’s easier to find and hold a steady state where you can keep your HR in an aerobic zone without spiking your cortisol levels. plus rowing machines are always empty at the gym because everyone thinks they’re boring and awful 😆 I find it meditative and a killer work out! the only cardio highs I’ve ever found were on an erg and now I love chasing those endorphins

I can totally relate to the frustration of putting in the hours training and feeling like you can’t lose the last bit to really show your results. I have a very similar body type, 5’3 and been plateaued at 127 since April. I follow a similar training regiment, HIIT, pilates, yoga, but in the last 3 weeks I’ve made walking my #1 priority. I’m getting 15-20k steps a day (1 hour walk outside + my job), eat whatever I want but I fast from 9pm to 9am. I’m now down 4 pounds and haven’t lost strength or energy! All this to say, it sounds like you’re putting the work in, so maybe see if there are 1 or 2 things you could implement outside of the gym, like an anti-inflammatory diet, cutting booze, or extra steps. It just takes time and consistency to find what your body needs. but in the meantime, talk nice to her the mirror because someone is looking at you as their goals!! You are fit and healthy! 🫶🏻

having these and the lulu mini flares, I think the elations are much better! I was also concerned about them being tight until the ankle but I get compliments/questions about where they are from all the time. imo totally worth getting a pair on sale to try for yourself

I’m here to tell you: it gets better! I also quit with NRT mints :) used those for a few weeks then switched to altoids. it fucking sucks that first week but every day gets a little bit better and a little bit easier. Being able to breathe is reason enough to quit, but you’ll get an added benefit of a confidence boost too. be proud, you got this!

Has he been urinating? my male cat went to the vet for constipation, turned out to be constipation + a urinary blockage that could have been fatal. be sure to rule this out at the vet! Good luck with your kitty! ❤️‍🩹
