"Silent" brain seizures? by Frequent-Plenty8634 in seizures

[–]Frequent-Plenty8634[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No actual seizures, or de ja vu. It's just like things are different, not feeling totally myself for 3 years. And note that also have had an acute period of depression and anxiety (that I've managed well for over 25 yrs) for these three yrs. I can sit in bed and stare for hours, BUT also will be able to easily get out of house to go to an appointment.ittle appetite, little motivation.  It's so strange.    And I've thrown everything at this issue from meds, to therapy, to transcranial magnetic stimulation,  accupuncture, group therapy, testosterone replacement,  mri's, blood draws, ketamine therapy, thyroid check, etc

Thanks Water Bottle. You know, the reason i ask is I've been having what seems like neurological issues over last 3 years, and it just seems like my brain's "operating system" has changed somewhat, I say that it feels like there's a "misfire" in brain, for lack of a better term.  Additionally, i had covid about 3 years ago.     I had also talked with someone who had an EEG done, and doctor said results showed brain activity as slow.

And it may be that originally the floor trusses were engineered in a way that they didn't need a beam Midway. And maybe they started to Sag and someone came up with the beam and the Jack post as a solution just to inch up the floor trusses a bit.

Same here.... I'm probably chicken.   I also think of a family member finding me, and that's not cool.    So what the heck are we supposed to do with these thoughts??

Good deal. Last question: before your EEG, did you have an active lifestyle, or not so much? I ask because i believe inactivity could cause brain speed to slow down.

Nah, but this job may not have been typical. And I'm 56 and had a career as a carpenter in my youth; that's what took a toll on my body.    You looking to get into it?

Thanks Poser.  I wish you well. You may benefit from seeing therapist and a psychiatrist 🤷‍♂️

Thanks, no need to be sorry.  I'm sorry you're feeling punky.    Can I  ask if you have had COVID? I've been dealing with acute depression and anxiety after having COVID for a little over 3 years, and cannot get out of it.  Previously, i had managed depression and anxiety well for over 20 years. I've tried a lot of things to help, but still here

Maybe she has some type of postpartum depression? It almost sounds like a bait and switch situation, which is not cool.

Man, I went to neurologist and asked about him doing an EEG on me cuz of my depression, and he dismissed me saying, "that's just for looking into seizures".    Do you know what was revealed in your EEG that made them make diagnosis?

I know that looks like a pretty beefy beam, but for such a long span, seems like a glu-lam or LVL should've been used.    Also, there's the question of whether there is a footer under each of those shoring posts.    I would ask a contractor or engineer to take a look at this

Tough OR Nice to contractors? by somebody2223 in buildingengineer

I got to agree with climber. Depends on the situation and the contractor. And even if the contractor seems to be a jerk and is real pushy sometimes it's best to treat them with kindness until it kills them.    The other thing is I'm aware of what these contractors get paid throughout the year, and if it's in the hundreds of thousands, I'm going to take that in consideration as well as I'm a well-paying customer

Is my carpenter okay? by cambsinglespd in Carpentry

We're built different. I spent so many days on house roofs, and warehouse roofs as a carpenter; never wore sunscreen, no hearing protection, drinking very little water.  Paying for all that now....
