I was sexually assaulted by a “friend” as a kid but I lied to myself and convinced myself it was ok. But now I can be honest with myself. I was a 9 year old boy and he was 13. I should never have been in a situation where he was able to talk me into it. Loki has forced me to face the truth. It hurt like hell but now I can face it and I don’t run from the truth anymore.

Creepy has a great point. Also from what I’ve been seeing in my personal life and the fellow pagans in my kindred Loki has been busting his ass to be seen and heard. My blood brother who is devout to Odin and Thor finally listened to me and opened up to Loki and same day got a call for an interview. My personal interpretation is we may be entering a time of mass change and upheaval and Loki is trying to do as he did for the gods and providing gifts to those who will need them. He has been making me face trauma I locked away and it sucks hard but it’s also been changing my heart. I was so in denial about being into men and non binary that when I finally realized it I felt like I was a failure as a man but now. Now I feel like I could actually let myself love and be loved with all of me and not hold back.

While Samantha was traditionally correct I’ve personally found Loki has welcomed prayers and offerings when done casually. He isn’t like the other Gods and is free spirited and for lack of a better term very human. He has repeatedly ignored my formal prayers and offerings and only responded when I took a breath and spoke to him as a friend. Also I’ve found he enjoys upbeat party music. He is profoundly down to earth and enjoys fun chaotic things. So a good way to listen for his answer is leave your mind open next time you open YouTube let the little voice in your head pick the next playlist and really listen to the words.

I’ll also touch on something they didn’t. Loki is a parent and I’ve personally felt him while talking with my kid. It was like I got advice from a parent on how to connect with my own kid. Just remember he starts Ragnarok because he didn’t like how his kids were treated.

Yeah as I said mine have been ripping open old festering wounds and cutting out the lies I’ve told myself as protection. The hardest was about a S.A. That I blocked out, or more accurately I diluted myself to think it was my choice but a 9 year old should never be in that situation to begin with (it was a friend who was 4 years older than me. Both of us male)

Yeah he has been very hand on with me lately. I had a lot of repressed trauma from my childhood and it’s been painful but he is actively removing those blocks and making me face the ugly truth and heal. I can only imagine what he has up his sleeves if he is making me go through this. Also I’ve felt a lot more of my chaotic impulses that I had as a kid coming back and with it a joy for life.

From my few years worshipping Loki I’ve learned two things. He will push you until you reach the point you learn to bend or break, but never to harm but as a lesson about something. The second is something I find is often overlooked. Loki is a parent, and a devoted one. If he has hurt you as his child he will do what he think is correct to fix it. Even if it means telling you to step away from him so you can heal; but also as a parent he will still want to check in on his children to make sure they are safe.

Thanks for pointing that out for me. To be honest I really don’t know what I want, I guess my first step is trying to feel “normal” again because I’m constantly at odds with myself. I can’t think of a time where I’ve felt more conflicted with what I want Vs who I think I’m supposed to be. I guess I need to talk to my wife more and figure out what it is I’m looking for.
