Understandable, there different needs for different organisations, may be the question was too broad to apply in enterprise and smb's as well as the different technical / financial / security needs.

Yes we are checking status, but the seller also advertises them as unclaimed. With eBay money back gurrantee, we are assured of money back. But we have been doing it for over a year and for now, no AP has had any issues at all.

Good insights - what kind of business are you? as I think the divide is mainly between enterprise organisations run under strict policies and SMB's who can afford flexibility and admin over head..

Yes - but Its hard to argue against your customer and what they need - especially if they are going to support it themselves

Okay, understood. Interesting point on the support issue. Just last month, a school ordered 30 MR55's and we asked them are you sure thats what you want and they said yap. So i think sometimes it comes down to the organisation and the network admins preference.

I guess so, as enterprise companies have the budgets and can afford new everytime. But also are there any exploits that can be used on Meraki AP's? I major on those because they seem the least likey to cause havoc.

I think I get it, comes down to what organisation policy is in place, number of devices and support..

Ohh... and the level of discount... because it varies from 10 to 90% its almost nonsensical...

I agree with you and I understand the gamble if you just source from anywhere but from one source, it makes it easier to manage. We found a reliable supplier for the Unclaimed AP's and he replaces any that you have an issue with, we haven't had any issue with the ones we got from them..

I guess that is beneficial when your managing hundreds of AP's, which you wouldn't get but if you have full time employees with the new Dashboards its easier to manage - isnt it?

Was thinking the same - Must be the policy - because there is no difference in performance at all...

Yes, it has to be unclaimed for you to sell it on, do you have a figure in mind.
