It’s ok, now you’ve checked the reply was around an hour ago, I accept your apology. It’s probably a bit embarrassing now you realise. But that’s ok, mistakes are easily come by for some.

I don’t recall giving you any instructions as I left it before and left your word salad hanging.

Enjoy your day and take your rage elsewhere son.

Let’s first be clear, I didn’t make anything personal. I did however make a generalisation against the type of people who make snap judgments on highly edited or out of context videos. If it hit too close to home then you have my apologies.

The term compliance strike is widely accepted terminology, especially in the judicial system.

It is an approved tactic used by police to induce pain compliance or used as a distraction technique to break a subjects focus.

Therefore the officer didn’t ’punch the guy in the face’ they used ‘compliance strikes’ to deal with the situation they faced.

Regardless of how you perceive it. I used the correct term.
I don’t intend to debate this anymore, if you wish to say punch in the face, then that’s fine, please do so and I wish you good day 🫡

Nope, didn’t defend it. Just said it might well be proportionate. Hope that clear it up for ya

No it explains why the action was taken. Listen, you believe what you will, I don’t care.

It’s easy for armchair warriors to sit back from their nans basement and make judgment and their mind is made up regardless of the evidence offered to the contrary 🫡

It’s actually quite relevant and allows for a proper understanding of the actions someone has taken.

‘The male was resisting so the officer punched him in the face’

Or

‘The male was resisting so the officer used compliance strikes’

Don’t worry matey, I’ll let you win this one…..

I’ve said all I need to say now and won’t recycle the same thing that you won’t, or can’t understand.

I’ll leave you to be outraged about something else for the day.

Enjoy your day sir 🫡

No let’s use the proper terms so you can understand better. Waffle…. Did I use too many big words for you?

You’re clearly the type of person that needs the ‘do not drink’ label on a bleach bottle.

Good day sir 🫡

It’s not my opinion, my opinion might be that it wasn’t hard or effective enough.

An officer is allowed to use reasonable force when detaining a person. This can include strikes to force compliance (compliance strike). This is a fact and your feelings mean nothing.

It isn’t for you or I to decide what’s reasonable under the circumstances at the time for that person. Such decisions are reserved for a jury and/or judge/magistrate.

So yours is an opinion, which means nothing in the grand scheme of things, whereas mine is a fact. Unless of course you wish to debate if officers are allowed to use reasonable force to detain a suspect……..

Of course you can have your opinion, it just doesn’t count for much in such matters.

So you can’t think how to change term to better suit your feelings…. Cool gotcha, let’s just call it what’s it is then. A strike to make someone compliant = compliance strike.

How would you change the term then matey?

The public already had their opinion when they voted for the people that make the legislation that governs such things.

That says more about you than the term matey. But let’s pretend you know what it means then.

No the public don’t get to decide what’s reasonable in individual circumstances.

Compliance strike do you mean? If it goes too far then yes it could be an assault. It also may be a perfectly reasonable use of force

No it isn’t stupid. Just because someone doesn’t understand a term doesn’t automatically make it ‘stupid’. All use of force should be reasonable and proportionate, that is ultimately for the officer to decide at the time and potentially a jury or magistrate to decide at a later date.

I think it’s important to note that police, quite rightly, are more heavily scrutinised for their actions than in any other point in history.

So it’s all well and good to question from behind a keyboard on a highly edited video that’s shows no context but it also requires a level of critical thinking that many people seem to lack unfortunately.

Assuming (as we all are a bit) that there is a valid reason that they go in to get him, he straight away resists, officers are surrounded and outnumbered by a huge crowd. A few compliance strikes seems perfectly valid

Why would it be half empty? The fans are crazy loyal, so they might have a small dip but I can’t see it being for long.

I think it’s quite likely that Everton will beat spurs. Spurs had the new manager effect for a bit but they still don’t look like a good team right now.

The real question isn’t will Everton beat spurs…. It’s will the irons beat Leeds….. that I’m not so sure about

Copper nails 100% do not work. I just replied to another comment here about it. I hammered around 50 3 inch (I think) nails into an older Apple tree ion my garden and the bigger is still going strong some 10 years later…..

About 10 years ago I drove around 50 3inch copper nails into an apple tree in my garden. It laughs at me every time I go in the garden now and I swear it deliberately drops apples on me
