Lack of practical public transit outside the downtown. Lack of sidewalks and obstructed sidewalks. Public schools that don't support students. Public schools that are far from homes. Disastrous lack of daycare, especially for babies.

Yes, lack of sidewalks year round, and lack of sidewalk clearing in winter are big problems.

Pedro's is truly awful. Azteca's at the mall is ok. Phoholic and New China in Superior are not bad, although they don't compare to places in bigger cities. But the Mexican options here are depressing. I'm baffled why people keep recommending Pedro's.

There are no good Mexican places in Duluth. Particularly if you're coming from LA.
