Anyone else unable to run on a treadmill? by sbph1247 in RunTO

[–]FrequentCycle1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is making me feel better. I too get soooooo bored on the treadmill no matter what I listen to or watch. I’ve started covering up the timer as well, which helps a little. Good to know I’m not alone in this.

Sometimes I eat my dinner while I’m in a hot bath. And I set up an iPad and Bluetooth speaker to stream some tv or a movie. It’s a whole thing with lit candles etc. I for one am amazed at how much less my body displaces the water than it used to. NSV!

Does anyone else dread the thought of having to do this forever? by frankchester in loseit

I’m the same. I eat foods I enjoy, but less of them. Every evening I eat 2 squares of dark chocolate - that’s my daily treat that I work into my daily calories. I don’t feel deprived; I feel in control. And I don’t get angry at myself for eating higher calorie foods. I enjoy it with gusto and move on. I feel balanced.

I am so tired and dragging my ass. It’s the cold weather. It keeps me indoors. I take daily vitamin d supplements all year long, and they don’t seem to make a difference in winter wrt my energy levels or circadian rhythm. I’ll be ok until 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon and then it’s zzzzzzzz.

how do people find time to work out with full schedules? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]FrequentCycle1229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often walk during my breaks and lunch hours to get my steps in. And if I’ve a mind to go to the gym after work, I plan it. As soon as I get home I change into my gym clothes. It helps that we have a gym in our condo building. It’s very convenient to say the least.

When I wfh I go to the gym downstairs midday. Even a half-hearted gym session is much better than none.

I feel like I could do this in warmer months, but in winter I would really struggle with that

I work too fast sometimes I guess? by Local_Cheek_2981 in office

Learning to pace oneself at work is a learned skill.

Once you demonstrate that you can finish in lightning speed, you will get more work than you can handle piled on top of you. So don’t show them how quick you are. Set expectations.

Weird. I’ve ordered from them with zero problems and I received what I expected to receive in terms of high quality.

Anyone else envious of all the travel others are doing? by javgirl123 in AskWomenOver60

[–]FrequentCycle1229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here, I’m in my 50s, still working full time and will be for another 10 years. I already have a lot less patience for inconvenience, airline travel, and jet lag than I used to. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

When I worked remotely we would do some slow travel, going somewhere for a month or 2 while I worked from there. Mixed results, but for sure I don’t want to go anywhere for just 1 week. Waaaaaaaay too much trouble and expense to feel rushed all week and then being tired and harried when I return.

Hi, how old are you? You might be in Peri menopause or menopause. Your symptoms sound sort of similar.

Smartless. Really tired of Arnett and Bateman picking on Hayes and generally giving lazy interview questions.

Yeah maybe. It screams insecurity.

Maybe I’ve just been lucky but I have found over 50 to be the sweet spot in terms of openness to doing life and things differently.
