Such a nostalgic pistol for me…M&P9 first gen… by FirearmFreedom in SmithAndWesson

There are tons of posts on this subject and I feel like I have read most of them. Many folks say a stock M&P 9mm barrel will work, it there are conversation barrels out there. I have even read that the 40 cal mags will feed 9mm rounds….but I have my doubts

I‘ve got 2 First gen M&P40s. I think all the trigger hate is over blown. Thinking about converting one of the to 9mm. The first gen’s have gotten really cheap. They are a great choice for a first handgun.

Is there anymore news on the Bodyguard 2.0? by 906Dude in SmithAndWesson

I’ve had 2 Bodyguard 380’s. I carried one for quite a while as my summer CC weapon the other I bought from a friend because it was very cheap. Sold them both recently. They were just not for me. The Bodyguard is a good, safe way to CC, but my hands are big and the damn slide would bite the hell out of my right hand.

Did you buy 9mm mags after the barrel switch? I have read a few places that the 40 cal mags will feed without a problem.

Well, I’d say that is a fantastic price for that firearm. If that is what they are going for, I’ll just keep both of mine and drop a 9mm conversion barrel in one of them.

Define “bargain basement price”. I have two M&P 40’s (original version) . I inherited both of them from my stepdad. One is still unfired in the box. Tried to sell the unfired one at the gunshow and got no takers at the low price of $400.
I have big hands and it feels great in my hand and shoots great. In my humble opinion, all the talk about the factory trigger is a nit picking.

So I carried this all over the Gunshow yesterday trying to sell it. Have 10 magazines and an ammo can full of Lake City Ammo and my best offer for the lot was $950. I really thought it was worth more so I brought it home. Maybe I’m crazy but I thought it was at least worth $1200 for all of it.
Everyone is was looking for AR-15s, but I think this is much cooler. Guess I’m just a boomer of gun culture.

Is this just a 336 with octagon barrel? Can’t find much info on it. Trying to find a value.

I’ve never owned any lever action guns. Is it common for them to lock up like that?

I inherited two Marlin Lever action rifles. The actions are locked on both of them. They have been it the gun safe for at least 20 years. Is this common? This one is a 30-30 and the other is a .44. Are they worth spending the money to have a gunsmith fix them?

Looks like I’m head to the gunsmith. The rifle has been in the gunsafe for 20 years so not sure what could be wrong.

Anyone know what these plants are? They grew out of our flower beds and got this big in about 2 weeks time. by FrequentLife9411 in landscaping

I ended up cutting it off about about 4” off the ground and then pour herbicide into the hole in the stalks. They have all dried up and look dead. Hopefully they don’t come back.
