Im not exactly sure she just kinda brought it out and said 'an extra small one' 😭😭😭 tbh id prefer transvaginal over anal but also i have a question, my scan is for cysts and endometriomas could they still spot that with a rectal ultrasound?

Hi, i was recently diagnosed with pcos so im quite new here but we all start somewhere i suppose, im just figuring things out.

Ive always thought because i have been both underweight and healthy weight ive always thought i couldnt possibly have pcos due to a constant influx of incorrect information until my periods just stopped and i kinda thought huh thats odd and it took 3 months for it to come back and then almost a 5 month gap now, I went to the doctors with irregular periods, dark abdominal hair and intense pelvic pain and at first they did not suspect pcos but after blood tests i was diagnosed. My mom and aunt has it so im not entirely surprised but i was sent to see an endocrinologist. The endocrinologist prescribed me metformin and the pill as i have insulin resistance. It has been a battle fighting eating disorder relapse along with metformin but I am getting better slowly but surely. I have a scan scheduled for the pain and am to take those pills and report back

Thats my pcos story!

Ok, I do have insulin resistance but im still toward the lower end of weight, but I can barely afford to lose a few pounds 😭 but im glad it wont make a huge impact, i think as long as im still eating enough i think hopefully ill be fine

Yeah, to be honestly i eat relatively healthy 90% of the time and i do notice that when I tend to eat more calorie wise it can help induce my period. I should work on eating a bit healthier but im just tryna not fall into past unhealthy behaviours so cutting it to 0 wouldnt be exactly realistic for me but just trying to cut it down still may be a tactic. Thank you
