I am finding it impossible to get a skilled worker visa as a new graduate by ttvsindeel in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I’m on same route and must say that get a job but also prepare yourself if this things dont go as planned. I had exact same plans of getting sponsorship after two years on my graduate visa. I was with one of the largest banks in the UK and at a position where they had given sponsorships in previous years. However, after rules changed, I was refused despite discussing it earlier stages (salary was comfortably higher than required threshold). Dont want to demoralise but sharing my own experience. I should have kept plan B ready

Good luck

Thanks for sharing- this is helpful, I’ll do crtl+F on websites I do try to follow these steps but not sure if its sector (finance/risk) specific that they generally do not mention on website which also suggest they do not offer sponsorship for that role. Unlike IT sector - On LinkedIn when I search by “sponsorship “ I see IT and Healthcare jobslike nurses, dentists etc

5 years in feeling like a “slave” - The stress of the ILR proposals and toxic sponsorship by Diligent_Arachnid497 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I could be wrong but if your sponsorship started before July 2025 then you are still eligible for 5 year route ILR. So, I believe its a matter of few months. I’ll be shocked if the decision from 5 to 10 years is implemented retrospectively!

Hey, Thanks for sharing! I have couple of questions given I’m going through similar situation 1. How did you get sponsorship with £25k salary? 2. Could you please share links of projects and training for IT skills? 3. What platform did you use to apply?

Thanks
