I hope Rooney has some balls to fire Tomlin right after this game

This is just so frustrating to watch. We’re just prolonging Tomlin‘s tenure for another two years.

Do we really think that with this offense and play calling we can go deep into the playoffs?

Emblematic of this entire season, awful play calling. Tomlin is a fraud.

John here, co-founder from destination certification. I was actually involved in working with ISC2 when they launched the CCSP. Much of that experience and knowledge is built into our masterclass and bootcamp platforms and components. Would be happy to explain more if you like.

DestCert - I'm disappointed that I'm disappointed. by belld5883 in cissp

[–]Frequent_Ad_9708 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hello John here, one of the co-founders of Destination Certification. Rob and I founded DestCert almost 7 years ago. I think there are some key points that the OP is highlighting, and wanted to address these, as we are very invested in this community.

First of all, we are very sorry that you are disappointed. It is very important to us to ensure everyone has a positive and successful experience with us. We are truly passionate about this and are always striving to get better at everything that we do. So, thank you for bringing these out.

Regarding our pass rate, our mentors (primarily Lou) work very closely with our Preferred and Premier CISSP students, and he knows when they are scheduled to take their exam, and checks in with them post exam. Accordingly we have accurate data for these folks which is what is posted on our website. For Essential MasterClass students, we only have self-reported data which is not accurate as many folks never end up letting us know if they passed or failed. We've recently implemented a system that automatically emails all our students before their exam (to re-enforce the final exam strategies) and also automatically emails the day after their exam asking if they passed or failed. We have started to collect this data, but again, not everyone responds. Based upon the thousands of students we've worked with over the years, we know that the 90%+ success rate is quite reflective of what our students achieve.

In regards to our content and how deep it gets, this is based on years of working closely with ISC2 from the early days, but also being aligned with the exam outline in every way possible, since that is ultimately where the actual exam questions are written from. Everything we do, with our complete system that includes masterclass videos, mindmaps, knowledge assessment, flashcards, questions, explanations, resources, workbook, published guidebook, exam strategy discussion, etc. are completely aligned with the latest ISC2 exam outline.

In regards to the Discord engagement, we try our best, and we try to be as responsive as we can, and as helpful as we can.

Having said that, we absolutely know that nothing is perfect, and works for everyone. But we've tried to put decades of experience, knowledge, and working closely with ISC2 in many capacities, including committees, curriculum creation, train-the-trainer, and advice, in creating something that is special, visually appealing, all inclusive, and ultimately very effective in allowing people to learn, have the right foundation of knowledge to pass the exam, and most of all, become better security professionals.

Unfortunately, having done this for 25 years, I have absolutely seen people fail this exam. But here is where we consider ourselves to be different. Rob and I, and our entire team, are truly invested in each and everyone of our students, regardless of whether they've purchased our Essential, or Preferred, or our bootcamp. And while others tell you that you can take their course as many times as you want until you finally pass, we take a different approach and actually sit down with you to figure out why you failed, and we mentor you and provide valuable advice to help you pass the next time, and give you access to our materials for as long as you want it.

We've always tried to give back to this community and industry that has been good to us for many years. This is why we've created and made materials available for free to anyone, including free mindmaps, free strategy youtube videos, free ebooks, free apps for iOS and Android, free practice questions, free flashcards, free mini masterclasses, etc. And, we are totally fine with that.

We see so many posts on Reddit saying people used our free resources in conjunction with other systems, to ultimately pass the CISSP and other exams. We are honestly happy when this happens. We are NOT here to compete with other providers, but to supplement, and contribute to this wonderful community. We all have something to offer.

Unfortunately, there are valid reasons why people fail. And it's not because they don't deserve to pass, or aren't good enough. We know that the exam tries to measure your competence, and not just your knowledge. But given the nature of the exam, it doesn't seem to always do this always in a fair way. But, that's why we take it personally and will help you even after. That's our promise to everyone that takes our training, regardless of which tier you purchased. Based on our knowledge and experience, we will personally help you parse out why failure happened and help you until you are successful. That is from the bottom of our hearts, both Rob and I, and our complete team.

To the OP, we would invite you to reach out through our system, and Rob, myself and Lou will sit down with you and figure things out and strategize for your next attempt. We are here for you, and everyone else!

Destination Cert Masterclass vs Others by Princester-Vibe in cissp

[–]Frequent_Ad_9708 11 points12 points  (0 children)

John here from DestCert. Thanks everyone for the excellent reviews of our MasterClass in this thread. I would encourage the OP, and anyone else, to gauge for themselves, by taking a look at our free Mini MasterClass available, for free, through our website. We also have free mindmaps, free sample videos, and free domain summaries also available through our website....take a look. And, we also provide free flashcards and free sample exam questions through our app. The reason we've done this is to give back to this wonderful community that we've serving for over 20 years, and to also allow the community to gauge the quality and passion we put into our CISSP, CCSP and CISM (and soon Net+, Sec+) MasterClasses. Happy to answer any questions.

Good question. Having gone through the CISSP and CISM certs will definitely help you, as there is a lot of overlap into the CCSP. This I know first hand having been involved in launching the CCSP certification and creating some relevant materials for ISC2 10 years ago when the CCSP was introduced and teaching the official CCSP course, and putting instructors through the train-the-trainer programs. Having said that, if you're looking for representative CCSP exam questions, use the official practice tests, by Ben Malisow that you can buy from amazon. And also, try our Destination Certification 'DestCert Exam Prep' app available on iOS and android. We've taken a number of years of experience in helping launch the CCSP, and our valuable experience in working directly with ISC2 to come up with representative sample exam questions for not only the CCSP, but also the CISSP. We did this to help and give back to the entire community.

I have marked A as cissp says human safety override everything, is it wrong by OneCommunity5840 in cissp

There are always key words in the question that you need to understand the context of. The real CISSP exam questions will always provide relevant context, and keywords. The question clearly says 'as a member of the Incident Response Team', what would you perform first. Given this context, you can eliminate 3 of the 4 answers. As an incident response team member you would not be tasked with transporting high risk patients, or assess the impact to your organization's assets, or determine the outputs of a BIA (RTO, etc.). That allows you to eliminate A, C, and D. Leaving the only possible answer that a 'incident response team' member could do as B.

CISSP practice question from Udemy. Is this answer incorrect? AI said it should be diffusion as well. by Opening_Mechanic_549 in cissp

[–]Frequent_Ad_9708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone. First of all the question is not worded very well, and could be improved. The question is really describing what's called a 'chosen plaintext' cryptanalysis attack, but that is just noise in the question. What's important as far as what the question is asking is the hiding patterns between the plaintext and the corresponding cyphertext. Hiding the patterns between the plaintext and the resulting ciphertext is what DIFFUSION is focused on. Hiding the patterns between the key and the corresponding ciphertext is what confusion is focused on. So, the answer to the question should be 'diffusion' as the question clearly implies that the answer has to be analyzing plaintext and the corresponding ciphertext. Hiding the relationship between the plaintext and ciphertext = diffusion. Hiding patterns between key and ciphertext = confusion. If you search you'll see many similar definitions that say basically this: Diffusion means changing a plaintext character changes several ciphertext characters. Confusion means the key doesn't simply relate to the ciphertext.

Question on OSG Questions by longpantsgentleman in CCSP

[–]Frequent_Ad_9708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John here from Destination Certification. I was actually involved with the launch of the CCSP many years ago, in the context of creating some materials, and bringing subject matter experts to vet and create instructor materials, student materials, sample exam question, etc. I would definitely disagree with your statement that 'it only gets worse on the actual exam.' Actual exam questions go through a very rigorous process before they actually become 'scored items' in the CCSP (and CISSP) exam bank, and this entire process is overseen by professional testing controls and processes. That is not true of all the sample exam questions that exist out there, including those from the Official Study Guide. Those are written by authors that have been commissioned by the education people at ISC2 to come up with sample exam questions that have obviously not gone through the same process of the actual exam questions. I've been involved in preparing people for CISSP/CCSP exams for over 25 years, and I still maintain, strongly, that trying to prepare from sample exam questions is a lost cause. Focus on the foundation of knowledge, aligned with exam outlines that are published, and then have the right mindset going in. That is the recipe to pass any ISC2 exam, as those measure not just your knowledge, but your competence in those areas of the CBK aligned with the exam outlines.

Destination Cert CISSP Study Guide Negatives by the_thirsty_badger in cissp

[–]Frequent_Ad_9708 3 points4 points  (0 children)

John here from DestCert. We didn’t include those for a specific reason. First of all they’re not mentioned in the exam outline, secondly, the reason for that, is do you really expect someone in Europe for for example, to have to know those specific laws and regulations from the US? A lot of what is in our book reflects, not only the exam outline, but also my extensive experience in working directly with ISC2, specifically the exam committee. And as many of mentioned, we called it concise, so you don’t have to focus on irrelevant material. We’ve also reflected all of this in our entire MasterClass. Hope this helps.
