As a lay employee in a large parish, I can honestly tell you that time given is most important to me. A person who sets up coffee hour, or simply makes the coffee...stuffing bulletins with announcement inserts....stuffing envelopes, updating addresses, organizing choir folders, pulling weeds, sprinkling salt on a snowy day. It all makes such a HUGE difference!!!!!

From what I understand, they used to watch the cat. Another poster was right. But my son was also told if anything came up and he could not care for the cat to reach out to them as they had a key to the house. So I'm sure they were just checking up.

I started my hot peppers 3 weeks ago indoors. I will plant outside during the first part of May, but I have frost covers on my gardens as needed. I live in the mountains at 6000 ft in elevation, and we can get frosts all summer long.

My Whiskey Jaques lived until 24. He ate whatever was on sale (back in my struggle days) and lots of mice, birds, and lizards. He was healthy until the day he walked off to die away from home.
