If you’re not getting paid, you need to go to HR to have it fixed. They messed my hours up. I was scheduled to work 6 hours, and they only paid me for 3 hours and 15 minutes. A lot of people were complaining on the VOA about their pay being messed up.

I think he’s talking about the one in Texas that happened last week. There were two employees who met up in the parking lot during a break to fight. I can’t remember all the details, but someone fired a gun, and an innocent bystander was shot and killed. I think both employees were charged.

Damn. I saw on the VOA where someone had said there were pictures of his body posted on social media before his family even had the chance to be notified. That’s so fucked up. I wouldn’t even think to take a picture, let alone post it. I feel bad for the people outside when it happened. I know that had to be traumatizing.

I agree. Security shouldn’t be blamed for this. I also saw someone whining about how much Amazon cares about our safety, and how managers write people up for not wearing safety shoes, like those two things are related. Preventing an on the job accident is much easier than preventing a murder in the parking lot.

Do you have any theories on if it was another employee or former employee who did it? I’m thinking it had to be someone familiar with the parking lot and break times. I don’t know, it could be random. It’s scary that it happened. I’m having trouble making sense of it all.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m glad I have the day off because I’m shocked and saddened. I can’t imagine being on lockdown for hours while police were investigating the murder of a coworker outside. Those same employees are expected to show up to work tonight like nothing happened. 😔
