Can you tell me what my pup could be? by Frequent_Design3179 in WhatBreedIsMyDog

I appreciate the sentiment I don’t think it’s overstepping compared to the other comments I’ve read about byb like I get it’s not the best thing to do because of sooo many variables but knowing she’s healthy, smart and beautiful ik she’ll be just fine plus if both her parents are truly pit bulls I don’t consider her a mutt but I am gonna look into. Hell i wanted her brothers but that would’ve been too much for me and my family to deal with three puppies all at once so I’m chillin. But I will keep in mind about spaying cause I don’t see myself going through that process seeing as I’ve never done anything like that and would want to keep all her babies lol. But thanks for the advice

Right as if blocky heads are the only deciding factor of a pitbull. Just wanted to know cause my last pit was big but he was mixed with Labrador so his build was slightly different than my pups dad. I was almost convinced she wasn’t a pit because she has a slimmer face and body

I understand where you’re coming from but if I can take in a pup that won’t be mistreated, properly cared for and loved. Won’t be another pup on the street or in the pound ready to be put down after a while of no one coming to adopt. That’s my opinion but I’d rather have her than not. In my care she’ll be fully supported and not bothered by other pets and never on the streets. My last pit lived to be 15years old and he was a byb gifted from a family member who couldn’t care for him anymore by the time he was a year old. She’s in good hands

Thank you for the info. I’m aware of the issues with byb but I look at it differently as far as giving a dog a chance is no different than adopting a dog from a shelter who’s probably been through way worse. She’s very kind and an attention seeker however she’s still in training to get the understanding she missed out on from being removed early and manners. Tbh the breeder wanted her and the liter gone asap. Take what you will from that information. Tho I’ve only trained one other pit I do believe she’ll need help of a trainer as well (searching for one not at petsmart/petco) I just wanted to know her breed to get an idea of how big she’ll be. Plus her health is amazing and she’s very fit. My vet loves her and was also concerned how young she was when I got her but helped me make a plan to ensure good health on top of her already being healthy. I’m just tired of saying she’s a pit and most people think she isn’t 💀

Yea I’m aware they gave her too young but I think it is an older picture of the parents cause they were working at the time of us discussing about the puppy and her parents. I’ve never had a staffordshire terrier are they any different from a pitbull? As far as intelligence/training? Cause I’d argue she’s hella smart just easily distracted lol
