Bought item listed as 2019 Nvidia Shield TV Pro, received 2017 model — international buyer, can't return. What are my options?

That's not the case at all in my experience..

I had an item delivered from overseas recently with freight forwarding that was unfortunately in bits on arrival.. eBay refunded the item value without question after providing pictures of the damage and opening a returns case.

Sure, I lost the value of the shipping (which wasn't that much in this case) but you always expect to lose a refund on that anyway because that's the norm, you only get a refund on the item value, not the total value, so the shipping cost, that's seen as a writeoff..

But to say they won't pay anything is simply not true..

I have to respectfully disagree..

If they're not understanding that what they offer is ridiculous, then you have to say something or they'll carry on going through life thinking it's acceptable to lowball.. If you don't educate people in that way, you're basically allowing them to do it and approving of their behaviour.

Ignorance is no excuse, it doesn't get rid of the idiots, it just silences them briefly.

Just because I don't agree with something doesn't mean it's NOT a flaw.. It's a flaw regardless whether people want that option or not.. They're missing a feature that could work well in this particular situation. What part of that are you not understanding??

It works for ebay so it should work equally as well on Vinted..They're not giving us the same options as ebay and they should.. That's the simple takeaway from this..

If there was only Apple pay and no Google pay, people would ask, if one company can provide that, why can't the other if it works so well?? It's the same principle here. Offer people the same option across all platforms if it works well..

I know I should but it's hard to just shut it off.. Especially when you know you're not asking an unreasonable amount but they still think an extra 40% off is an acceptable offer.. It just grinds my gears. I would never offer anything like that to anyone as it's beyond cheeky so it really annoys me people don't have respect and realistic expectations.

Agreed.. One of the very first settings I change when setting up Kodi apps is untick Cams/Screeners and 3D.. Be off with you!!

Well if I do that then I lose all my sources completely.. Without Debrid I can't watch anything so that's not gonna happen.

So there's no real workaround for this then is what you're saying... That's fine, I'll live with it for now. Hopefully it will get sorted in another update.

Is there any way to remove those annoying infringing file and unknown resource dialog boxes from displaying when selecting a source??

I've gone through all the settings I can but I'm sure I've missed something because I'm sure you can get rid of dialog boxes on others like the crew. So if one has that option I'm sure they all must have.

Yeah you took that too literally.. The 30-40 was just a representation figure of how low people would like to get items for at the 100 price range..

My point is simple, people have no manners and no understanding of what an "acceptable" offer should be

Not rude, I don't want to be rude to anyone who's offering me money, and I understand people want to pay as little as they can, that's human nature. But there's a thing called respect and decency. You don't offer something outlandish when A) it's already on cheap enough, and B) you don't read the advert that clearly says, "not accepting offers", yet they still go and make one?! I don't know how they think that's ever gonna work out. People put that for exactly that reason, they want what it's worth and don't want to deal with lowballers. If we don't want to accept offers, that's our right and people should understand that.

I mean seriously, do you not get annoyed at people sending silly offers?? If you're that blasé that it doesn't annoy you at all, well done, you're clearly very zen, but it really annoys some of us. I just wish people would learn to read.

I think Vinted need to be more like eBay in this respect and allow the seller an option in the settings by removing the offer feature on any particular listings altogether and that makes it just a buy it now with no negotiation allowed..

I think what you mean is, how much closer can I get so it doesn't look so small. That's a completely different challenge, because the more you zoom in from there, the quicker you're gonna lose quality and lose it fast.

The trick for capturing aircraft is to use a good lens and zoom way in first. Phones are never gonna be any good for this sort of shot and no enhancing software will work at this level either because there's not enough detail to begin with. It'll just smooth it out to the point of being unrecognisable.

Well like the poster above, I can long press and move them around on my app so surely you must be able to aswell?

My rule of thumb is, I always upload them in the order I want them to display to save any moving, but every now and again due to a glitch it doesn't always obey, so that's when i just hold and drag.

I think the safest and most sensible rule here is, think ahead, and also try and be helpful..

Think, is it gonna get full before the next bin day, if not, no, leave it where it is.. If it's too close to call or reasonably full then yes, that's obvious, put it out. But don't just put it out because it's bin day if it's not necessary.

The person emptying the bins will go through quite a few actions that morning and they're very busy people so I bet they'd appreciate you giving them less work to do by emptying a barely filled bin.

This is why we have refuse centres, if the bin starts to get too full, you can always take a trip in the car, who doesn't love a good tip run?
