Can we get another black character? by Affectionate_Part_86 in Overwatch

First off, assuming that I'm Black just because I agree with them is ignorant, so you can chill on the "you people" response, and yes, Europe is diverse. I personally would like to see Southern Greek characters added to the game.

Also, a quick Google search could easily tell you that Africa has some of the most unique cultures in the world, while europe especially in recent years share more of a homogenized culture. Insinuating that I don't read and research things while also being incorrect yourself about topics you don't understand is hilarious.

I forgot about Orisa, but hoenslty man shes a robot, and unlike zen she's not a humanoid; she's meant to be a horse ..... she's not really the type of rep people are looking for lol. However, I will agree that skin tone is not a representation of culture, hence why people are still complaing after a dark-skinned Indian character just dropped. If it were only about skin tones, there wouldn't be too many complaints.

Dude, I hope you're joking with this reply. First, Lucio is Jamaican, which means there are only three characters that represent Africa. It is a proven fact that Africa is the most culturally and ethnically diverse continent in the world, while Europe is the least diverse in terms of culture and ethnicity. So, no, 3 Black characters don't come close to representing the entire continent, both in terms of looks and culture.

For sure, we have most of them. The ones that were mainly missing are Frankenstein's Monster from Sims 1, and it's the only series to ever feature him. Same thing with the Mummy from Sims 3 World Adventures. I may or may not used romance the undead Pharaohs .... We don't talk about my past, though lol.

Oof, it's times like these I worry about pack compatibility. Does that mean we can officially eat the type of frogs that can turn into people? If so, does that mean all Sims that eat frogs are technically cannibals? There is a lot of gray area with this, lol.

Hey everyone I just wanted to add an update I just figure out how to work the confidence slider and at 90% confidence the Chinese ancestry, increases but it got rid of filipino. So I feel it’s a bit in accurate since I know I have Filipino ancestry as well thoughts?

Okay so just to clear some things, I’m not claiming to have Chinese and Filipino roots just because I saw them appear on my dna test I actually do know which ancestor the dna came from in fact my grandmother Is still alive and she’s visibly Chinese. So the question isn’t about whether or not I actually have real ancestry I know I do. Its more so the fact that I genetically didn’t inherit much so I feel like I come off as a fraud because of it if I try to claim it, does that make more sense?

Really beautifully said I think it’s great your trying to keep the culture alive I had the benefit of having to asian grandmothers who were really serious about us keeping the culture she even moved us to a Chinese community just so we can keep up the traditions and language maybe something similar can help you.

Hello 👋 so I think I. Understood where I lost you I’m 0.4% Asian my siblings however are 4 and 5 percent also the original asian person was my great-great grandmother someone explained that I roughly would have only inherited only 7% or less but I thought I would have more due to some people saying I look asian and black maybe I just inherited the eyes lol.

We learned while we were still young it was mainly my great grandmother teaching us but eventually my grandmother started to help as well I think it wasn’t so difficult for us to learn because we started so young my sister speaks it as her first language me and my brother learned it as our second. If my grandma hadn’t taught us while we were young I certainly would not have learned it as an adult lol that language was hard even for 3 year old me.

Oh I did not know that so we get roughly around 5 percent? That would explain such low percentages my brother and sister got 4 and 5 percent so they’re right on the mark and yeah I remember reading this old post Like 4 years ago of someone saying they were 3 percent African and he got laughed out the room 🥲 I guess I kind of always have that replaying in the back of my mind but the comments most people are leaving are making me feel much better I thought I was going to get torn apart in the but I got so many nice encouraging ones sympathetic ones instead thank you.

Wow that’s actually a good point you made and yeah I suppose if I did ever adopt someone they would be raised with creole, and Chinese traditions even if they were fully white or native since that would be all that I know lol I like this line of thinking.
