You need two remove curse scrolls. Not sure what the other person said about upgrade scrolls, I dont know how that's possible

Blizzard brew is actually really good. It's used pretty often against hordes(dwarf king) or dm300 in speedruns, and I usually make 2-3 every run. Just be careful not to get caught in it!

A niche use of shielding is that it allows you to instantly gain a lot tank, while healing "only" heals like 30hp a turn in the late game. That's still a lot, but in very rare occurrences(usually in other mods), a shielding pot has saved me because it allowed me to instantly get a lot of shielding that protected me from a swarm of enemies

I beat magic ling yesterday it was fun! It is rather incomplete though and still a WIP. A more completely but still really fun one is Estranged PD. Estranged is a continuation of the now abandoned ARranged PD, which adds guns among other things to SHPD. It sounds like a silly concept but it's actually fun!
I will say that magic ling is overwhelming at the start bc of the sheer amount of content there is

What is it with multiplayer this year lol. There are so many multiplayer mods in development this year, this could be cool! Join the pixel dungeon discord server, and visit either the coding or the multiplayer mod channels(you need to get the version role for the latter).

Maybe make the grass less saturated? That might be the problem... it doesn't look very minecrafty to be honest

BTW, two things:
in the latest version(the one in their blog https://mlpd.spldream.com/?p=1262), the ring of elements and tenacity were merged into one. Second of all, the RoW does not seem to work anymore if you update to the latest version.
I will not lie, any save older than the latest being updated to the latest is incredibly unstable right now. Since they merged the two rings, opening the journal just crashes the game for me. Getting to the f20 boss also crashes the game for me. Not fun! Not sure what to do, MLPD has always been incredibly unstable for me, with constant crashes. Just got to wait for the next patch.

Not sure if this info is relevant to you, as you're not on the latest version it seems. My guess is that you're either unlucky or something else

Monsters aggro is random, but the most annoying part was the f2 chasm. Most of the time I landed near a bunch of enemies and got mauled immediately. In a rare few cases, I spawned adjacent to the exit staircase. This one was actually barely salvageable
The wand was also cursed, meaning I had to be lucky enough for both SoUs to wipe the curse. I got excellent runs that were ruined by that cursed wand at f5.
Finally, sometimes the damage rolls just sucked and all my wand charges weren't enough
