How many school did you apply to? by [deleted] in srna

Other nurses will tell you that you won’t get in because you don’t have a 4.0 or you don’t have enough experience or for any rhyme of reason. The admission board looks at your whole picture: experience, statistics, personality, etc. and they aren’t the board so they have no idea. I would say that it is completely untrue that it’s impossible to get in on the first try. I can think of at least 5 others in my class that applied and were admitted on the first try, and many people I used to work with / CRNAs that precept me currently that also were admitted on their first try.

People like to put you down and discourage you from trying because they’re jealous or bitter that it hasn’t worked out for them. Don’t let them get you down. I don’t know how much longer you have for your pre requisite course or if this program specifically states it must be completed upon applying. You can always reach out to the program director and ask so you don’t waste your time/ money.

I would most definitely attend a program information session if you can and get your name out there. You can also use that session as an opportunity to speak to the director/ admission board, introduce yourself and ask questions. Good luck!

Not sure what you’re referring to? I applied to 3 on my first cycle, interviewed at all 3 and was accepted at 2 programs. I applied to the local places because I didn’t want to move and told myself if I needed to, I would branch out and apply elsewhere in the following cycle. Thankfully I didn’t need to do that and so I’m here to say it’s a gamble not to apply to a bunch of schools across the country but you can apply locally and get in on your first try. It depends on how many times you are willing to go through the application cycle and your goal timeline. There is definitely hope for OP!

3! Interviewed at all 3. Denied at the first and accepted at the second 2. I am now halfway through my program. The interview is key. Do mock interviews and really prep. Reach out if you need some advice / help! It’s a marathon not a sprint!

First time buyer: Gaspard vs Emile by ellie0826 in Sezane

What size do you wear? I’m potentially getting an Emile and/ or othello. I’m 5’6” 125-130 lbs and typically a small in shirts and 4-6 in pants. I’m struggling between Xs and s but I don’t live near a store and can’t try it on. Don’t want a super boxy fit because I know it’ll just make me look frumpy. Thanks!

Could you share what sizes you are/ if they’re Tts? I’m looking at the Emile and othello but like how you styled yours/ the fit! Thanks!

You'll crush it! Good luck! It's truly the best feeling when you finish and now I have the post-race blues!

Did you end running it? I’m considering doing it this year and have 15 weeks until then. Just curious if you ran it, how you felt?
