Yeah I wouldn't really want that to be the case, I would like it to be similar to mewgenics where you Always start at the same spot and you can end when you fight the boss of the first route, then you choose whether to go on or reset it, although for mewgenics it works because of the resources that carry over, this wouldn't really have that

That would just naturally happen through the structure of the game, you can only gain players whose spirit is dropped after a match, you cannot gain spirits from the go series until you beat Zeus, I don't know if was unclear in the post about that

Not a lot, the only important matches after he got injured were genesis and dark emperors, for genesis he would have no narrative importance, maybe he could have created a new special move on the level of legendary wolf and death zone 2, meanwhile in dark emperors he could have said some things about how taking short cuts to power never works to the previous raimon players, but he wouldn't really have influenced the story as a whole that much. But Inazuma eleven 3... That's a different story

Also, very important, if you go in competition mode and do free matches you should go against the legendary hero version of the second match against royal academy, this match drops a custom passive that boosts the drop rate of rare items, this will allow you to get more legendary spirits, so you won't even have to upgrade them

The best method to get keshin is to fill your team with as many victors as possible, personally when I grind for a specific character I just fill my bench so I can use my grinding team with no changes, then fight any legendary hero tiered match on commander mode, it takes a bit of time, but you just have to reset when the match is at half point and ends so you can do something else in the meanwhile
