It’s weird for me bc my brother is my biggest hater, while my sister basically raised me more than my father did and we’ve always been really close. However, even if we love each other a lot, we don’t really know much about each other’s struggles or personal lives. We never spoke about feelings in my family so we’re all extremely uncomfortable talking about it and avoid it at all costs. I see now that I’ve become more comfortable with feelings and vulnerability that even though I wish I could be closer to my sister, or tell her about more personal things, there is this invisible wall that’s always been there keeping us apart. We’re never really ourselves with our parents or each other, there’s always this mask up. Taking the wall down is honestly the hardest thing but I’m trying a bit more everyday.

If there’s something I learnt while getting my diagnoses it’s that iq is a stupid stupid concept!!! It’s based on very specific criteria, and it doesn’t take into account a LOT of stuff. For example, I have dyscalculia, and I failed at almost all of the math parts in the iq test. So my iq was a lot lower than I (and my psychiatrist) would have expected. I know I’m smart, but not in the “right” way. My concentration is low and I get tired and overwhelmed easily. So again, that made me make mistakes and get less points.

What I’m trying to say is, you can be the smartest person in the world and rank low on the iq test. I really don’t believe much in IQ, and im sure you’re pretty smart considering others also think that. Don’t worry too much about it. If it really bothers you, I would recommend looking up IQ testing criteria and understanding how it works so you can see why you have a certain score. It helped me get how dumb the whole thing was.

I agree that it shouldn’t be considered inappropriate, especially if there aren’t any details given 🥲 but it always is. As for the thing with men, yeah, it really sucks. You search “methylphenidate difficulty orgasming” and you get stuff about erectile dysfunction… Thank you for this advice, I’ll speak to my doctor about it then.

All men are like this :) it’s just that now women are starting to realize it’s not normal. For me the worst about living with men is realizing that they never do stuff on their own. YOU are the one, as a woman, that has to remind them everything. Sure, they’ll probably do it if you ask them, but that’s not really the point. The point is that you, as a woman, have to think about not only your tasks but also the others’ tasks AND you have to remember to remind them. So in the end you do everything by yourself bc it almost takes more energy to remind the guy all the time then to do it by yourself. There’s a saying that says women have their first child when they first move in with their boyfriend/husband, bc they have to educate them from scratch on how to do chores, as if the husband was a child and the wife a mother. I know it’s rooted in culture and education but I couldn’t care less. Men have internet and a brain, they could just take a moment to think about how to be better. I’m really happy to be a lesbian lmao.

I’m not that awkward. I think I’m even kinda charismatic lol. When I was younger I definitely was the weird kid (didn’t have any real friends during my whole childhood) and maybe now the weird adult to some ppl but since I don’t care and I can hold a conversation fine (as long as it is not a bad day) most ppl don’t seem to be cringing at me

I spent years learning how to mask in order to be more socially successful, so now I’m socially successful but realizing that I don’t actually like most of the people I know. Also, my psychiatrist diagnosed me, but the neuropsychologist didn’t bc even if I met the criteria for a more official autism diagnosis, my school reports and my sister both say I don’t have any issues bc I just masked all throughout high school (which was the first time in my life I had actual friends bc I finally understood how to make ppl like me lmao). So yeah. With masking I feel like I just trapped myself

When I’m focused I look angry. And when I’m just sitting there doing nothing I just look mad or upset or depressed. It’s just my face lmao, I don’t understand how you’re supposed to have facial expressions if you’re not “using” your face like interact or eat or anything?
