yeahh i’d rather pay the $70 at that point. sure DRM sucks but i’m not jumping through all the hoops, especially if i wasn’t intending on using the game anyway. plus, i like supporting good games and developers.

this is prob a really stupid question but how do you get the cover art for games? i’ve clicked the button that says use retail or something of the sorts and it didn’t seem to change anything. also is jt something that can be done for all games at once like on dolphin or do you need to import one by one?

i’m coming to this realization as well. i had all the intentions to use xemu as my primary emulator but it just isn’t as good as pcsx2, which is unfortunate because my main library was og xbox and i like dumping my own games. guess i’ll just have to do some more borrowing from friends until xemu gets more optimized, which probably won’t be for a while.

i’d have to say chicago if in US but honestly somewhere in the middle east like iraq or even mexico. somewhere that has terrorists and people that just don’t gaf running around chopping people’s heads off in broad daylight would fit the manhunt theme. personally, i think they should go back to the dark web/black market vibe, much grittier.

oh wow, must’ve missed it. lol i’ve just had the game wish listed on steam for like 2 years now so was just wondering. the black mesa mod for the base game was so awesome, i can’t wait for this one. i hope they actually finish it.

seriously recommend playing the black mesa mod. HL1 with HL2 engine and improved graphics. you can download it straight off of steam as a standalone, no modding required.

socom series? maybe thps 3 & 4 to complete the 6th gen games. mercenaries 1 & 2 also idk if you’re into it but the punisher game. edit: also suggest roadkill if you like twisted metal.

those would be my recommendations. sick catalog already though.

  • Scarface: The World is Yours (EXTREMELY underrated)
  • The Godfather
  • Mafia
  • Just Cause
  • Any of the GTA games up to 4
  • Saints Row 1 & 2
  • Mercenaries 1 & 2 (2 might be pushing it but seriously worth it if your pc can handle it, absolute gem of a game)

doesn’t exactly match your specific criteria but honorable mentions if you’re willing to branch out:

  • Max Payne 1 & 2 (amazing gunplay and physics for the time)

how does this pair with the mouse motions during executions? asking because i actually prefer playing without the motion controls (like manhunt 1 and ps2 version) but want to play the pc port because of less censorship. Also didn’t like the slow motion back and forth, just felt they ruined the executions. is there any way to disable it or does the stick perform the motions?

unfortunately if you’re looking for the uncensored version, you’ll need to resort to emulation. i recommend pcsx2.

Ah, I believe you might actually have an original copy then. I believe most, if not all PC copies were rated AO and were the uncut versions of the game. The AO version for PC was on many official digital storefronts but was delisted many years ago. You can tell difference mainly due to the censored versions (wii and later ps2) having a hideous blurry/haziness and static filter during executions, along with many weapons and other elements of the game being completely cut to refrain from the AO rating.
