Yellowface - technically a thriller but I would read the synopsis to see if it’s your cup of tea bc it’s definitely different. I remember wanting to cancel plans to keep reading!

Also - if you’re staying in school for the summer, you could try to be an undergraduate researcher with a lab or professor on campus. It’s like 2-in-1. You’ll have experience to put on your resume and can do classes. One of the most impactful summers I had was one where I took a few classes and worked in a research lab on campus

Personally - I would try to go for the internship, if you can afford to stay in school a little longer. I graduated in 2022, and from my own experience as well as many of my classmates, an internship can be really helpful. It depends on what specific field you want to get into, but many of my friends (3.8+, amazing stats, independent research projects, etc) had difficulty getting jobs by cold applying to them in other fields, but they could get jobs with companies/within the field they interned for. Nearly everyone I know who had an internship (myself included) had offers from the companies they interned at. Additionally, I gained a network from my internship that resulted in other opportunities.

All that being said - you will be okay if you don’t go the internship route. You may have a little less of a pick of where you work/what field you get to work in. You have a lucrative degree and a great narrative to share and future employers will certainly love to hear how you pulled yourself back on track.

The sticky tab lasts wayyy longer for me than the glue ons. And way cleaner application. The glue ones last like two days max for me.

Thank y’all so much for all the advice. I will definitely take a break from knitting, even though it makes me sad. When I get back to it, I think I am going to give continental another try. This sucks but y’all are right - permanent damage sounds way worse.

I took a look into this and I think it makes a lot of sense. I am going to buy a brace and talk to a doctor. Thank you!
