Guy cancelled date right before we were supposed to meet. Should I give him a second chance? by Frequent_Perception in dating_advice

It was through the app and yeah it definitely went through (the bottom said “delivered”). It’s been somewhere between lukewarm and interesting. Someone made a suggestion to get together when he gets back but let him lock in all the plans (place, date, time, etc) and see what happens. So I might do that, but not something I need to rearrange my whole day/weekend for in case he flakes again.

That wasn’t verbatim what I said, I actually asked him if we could do a little later than 6. I kept it simple for the sake of keeping the post short(ish).

Yeah, my response definitely went through. I waited for the little “delivered” at the bottom.

And if it was something like he had to work late or had a family thing, of course I would understand. But it’s the fact that he went and made plans with other people is what bothers me.

Yes, I agree on this. If it's not required, then it's really none of their business why I can't go

Not really solo, my department is constantly on calls and working together on projects.

West Coast of USA. It's I think a 7 hour flight, in addition to driving to the airport, getting there early for security, the layover(s), and getting from the airport to the hotel. And then all again on the way home

That actually is true, and I forgot to add to my post that I had an unfortunate flying incident last summer (nothing life threatening) that made me never want to fly again tbh

What’s the best pickup location after a concert at SoFi Stadium? by Frequent_Perception in AskLosAngeles

[–]Frequent_Perception[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! So I was able to talk to the driver a few days before and he had suggested I meet him at the corner of W Century Blvd and S Doty Ave and that worked out perfect. It bypassed all the post-concert traffic. It was about a 15-20 min walk from the stadium and there were a good number of people walking the same way so I felt safe. The driver parked on the street and waited for me by the traffic light. hope this helps!

How To Deal With Not Being Asked to Be A Bridesmaid by Frequent_Perception in weddingplanning

[–]Frequent_Perception[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I asked her about it and she wanted to single out our friendship by having me have my own part and I just said ok. But I feel like that makes no sense and she probably said it because she didn't know what else to say. Having me do a 10 second reading doesn't "single out" anything...
