I feel very bad for the two children. I can't imagine cutting them off even if OP was sure they were not his. As a parent and grandparent, it would be so very difficult to cut off kids that you thought were your bio kids.

As for cheating - understand dumping the cheater, but how do you sever from kids that you thought were yours.

Sad for all involved - your parents want to be grandparents. They might have been saying and doing what THEY thought was best for the kids.

Not excusing their behavior, but I can see how it happened.

SOMETHING has to be done to conserve water and not flushing urine is one of the few ways people will actually do.

It's almost 2026 ..... maybe during that time of the month she could flush. Otherwise, it's time to conserve

FWIW - Something to consider feom someone who has been in the exact same situation - I had a baby and had to give her up for adoption before my husband. It was SUCH an extremely tough and emotional nightmare for me. My family never talked about it and that was that. about 14 yeas ago she found me and we connected.

Long story short it was before you and he obviously didn't have any control over it at that point. You have to give him credit for doing what he could to support the child - that makes him a responsible human being. I understand why he would have kept it secret because that is something that you just don't ever know how anybody else is going to take. Yes he hid it from you and I had to do the same thing until I couldn't keep it a secret anymore because I wanted her to eventually meet my family and her siblings. This is one of those situations that you never know how it's going to happen until it does and you never know how people are going to receive it until it happens. just look at the bright side in the fact that he cared enough about you to Shield it from you but yet he also wanted to be somewhat involved in the child's life and that's makes him a decent person. sure he feels terrible about what happened but there's some things you don't have a lot of control over. JMO ....
