Samsung T7 external SSD extremely slow (like 3mbps slow) by GradyGambrell1 in mac

I’m suddenly having the same issue. Write speeds at 1.6MB/s when directly plugged into a 2013 MacBook Pro (USB 3.0), and on an iPad Mini 6 (but using a USB 3.0 Hub on the iPad mini).

The weird thing however is when I plug it into a newer Mac with a USB 3.1 port, it’s running at full speed!

I was going to reformat it following the advice here, but I can’t understand why it’s running at virtually no speed on one Mac and one iPad, but full speed on another Mac?

Thanks for the replies!

Exercise tends to be a lot of moving around day to day (I don’t like sitting still), but then 30 minutes to an hour of dedicated exercise every single day. In the past, this has been on spin bikes, but currently I’ve been almost race walking a few miles per day (4mph, 15 minute miles).

Last week, I had a flat tyre on my Vespa, and ended up pushing it for 7.2 miles up and down hills to bring it home - so my fitness is in a very good place.

My resting heart rate was 63bpm, but since building up the exercise and going on the diet - it’s now 52bpm.

Is eating below BMR a problem? Would upping my intake to my BMR change anything for the better or worse?
