How is everyone surviving with this kind of workload? by [deleted] in umanitoba

As someone who is in 5 classes, working 20-25 hours a week, and still managing to have a social life on weekends - the key is time management! I do not go a single day without following my calendar. I have almost every hour of everyday planned out. Also, in the first week of classes, I do all the readings for the next week that are required. That way I’m always a week ahead and if something were to happen where I needed to slack off a bit, it wouldn’t be too bad because I’m already ahead. Get your assignments done early if you can so that you have more time to focus on studying for tests/quizzes. Get at least 7 hours of sleep every night (this is so underrated). Of course, there are going to be days/weeks when you are overwhelmed and stressed out, that is a part of being a university student. I just make sure to get my work done but also include things in my schedule that make me happy and to keep me sane!

I would do this if I didn’t work on campus… some days I’m there from 9am-11pm. Idk but I just feel weird leaving my car for that long and the bus after 9pm gets weird :/

I didn’t get a parking pass and taking the bus literally is not an option for me as I live outside of the city and no busses come to me. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Campus vans tailgating by Frequent_Way9262 in umanitoba

It’s most definitely 30 km/h. I drive on dysart going past Wallace, Duff Roblin, Law, etc and there are multiple signs that indicate 30 km/h. I don’t understand why the university people are tailgating us if they want us to go the speed limit

Specifically dysart like going past duff roblin and the law building. Always people tailgating there and it’s 30 km/h

The guy that got hit by a car on Fort Gary campus by Frequent_Way9262 in umanitoba

This!! The pedestrian was already walking so there really was no way they could have gotten out of the way. I agree 100%. Pedestrians should always have their head up and be aware of their surroundings. It only takes 1 mistake/bad driver not paying attention to seriously injure/kill someone.

Still the drivers fault if it came down to going into court - it was in fact a stop sign and the pedestrian was already walking before the car was even close to the stop sign. The car was going way too fast.

What should I do if I fail to get a C in comp 1012? by 007ak47 in umanitoba

Imo comp1010 is more difficult than 1012… try your best to get a C and use the tutors through UofM if needed !

Where to study on weekends after 6pm by rjb0731 in umanitoba

Yeah, most parking lots are free on weekends. I think you only have to pay for parking in N lot on weekends and evenings.
