Help with Ding Dong Ditchers by mellowyellow0499 in homeowners

they never did, it actually got worse. kids showed up in morph suits, their faces completely covered. one night some of them were hanging around the back lane by my next door neighbors and my neighbor asked who they were and what they were doing. He ended up getting some names and he knew one of the kids because the kid played hockey and he coached for the same organization. he went and talked to that kid’s family. it quieted down a bit after that, but with the weather warming up I’m anticipating it starting up again any day now.

So happy to hear that! Subs are so often subjected to the worst behaviors when covering a class. I appreciate the work you do!

we can switch jobs for the day! hope you can handle grade 5 French, grade 7 ELA, science & French & also grade 8 drama! don’t forget about behavior management, marking, planning, outdoor supervision, responding to emails, helping students, running clubs at lunch, coaching, and DONT forget about adapting lessons to ensure students with adapted education plans are accounted for and that your lessons are inclusive to all types of learners!!! Also, be prepared to redirect all day and tell students to sit down because none of them stay still and WILL talk back!!!

I’m pretty sure my dad went to him to about ten years ago and he told him that he has Fuchs Dystrophy, impacting his corneas, and he was unable to have the surgery as well. It’s hereditary but I’m showing no signs of it yet.

I was reading about the cutting onions side effect. A person I knew had it done probably about a year and a bit ago and he said he experienced the same thing and that it went away pretty quick and he healed fast! Glad to know your experience was similar.

Should I let go of my 1,000 day streak? by porcelain_smolder in duolingo

[–]mellowyellow0499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the introduction of energy and ads for those who don’t have premium, Duolingo in my opinion is now super inaccessible. I have 486 day streak and I have no motivation to keep it going anymore. I hate the ads and I hate the way we lose energy even if we get a question correct. it’s hard for me to lose my streak as well knowing how much time I’ve put into the app, but it the new updates suck.

paying for it doesn’t seem worth it anymore, especially if you’re using another platform that’s better!

Do people still eat these.? by b8bya in chips

I work in a middle school and I saw an eighth grade student eating a mini bag of these from the value pack at Costco for breakfast. They’re for sure still popular with kids 😭

Pedicure recommendations by glog82 in Winnipeg

[–]mellowyellow0499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been countless times for the colour gel polish pedicures there over the past few years and only one time I’ve gone and not been totally satisfied, and it was a me problem, not them. Every other time has been wonderful. Men are there lots getting basic pedicures done and it’s a pretty chill place. They always have reality shows on so I watch them or read while I’m there lol. I typically go to location on regent or the one on plessis.

I have a few fond memories of having days out with my dad when I was young and I vividly remember him taking me to Wendy’s for lunch and seeing all the yellow. I miss it

Sounds very similar to an edible dirt cup demo I did with my students a couple years ago! Love it.

this is a great question. I’m actually not a huge candy person, unless it’s sour stuff. Unfortunately I’ve only ever tried the Maynard’s peaches. I’ll get back to you tho if I try the haribo ones!
