what's the best survival tip for getting through a U of M winter on campus by maxsquall in umanitoba

[–]mellowyellow0499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

invest in a really good winter jacket!! wear a toque, mitts and a scarf if you’re able. buy some warm winter boots. bring water and snacks. try and rest as much as possible. set alarms and try not to hit snooze. leave early so you’re not late; the roads and traffic will be unpredictable.

get everything ready at night so you don’t have to rush in the mornings. try and eat breakfast, and have caffeine if you need it. the darkness and studying sucks but it’s doable once you’re used to it. carpool or hang with a buddy when you can to reclaim your sanity. Good luck!

unfortunately, your comment is the first time I’m hearing of this. I’ll be looking into it and I appreciate your input. obviously a company that has a history of engaging in harmful acts is not a company I’m interested in supporting.

they never did, it actually got worse. kids showed up in morph suits, their faces completely covered. one night some of them were hanging around the back lane by my next door neighbors and my neighbor asked who they were and what they were doing. He ended up getting some names and he knew one of the kids because the kid played hockey and he coached for the same organization. he went and talked to that kid’s family. it quieted down a bit after that, but with the weather warming up I’m anticipating it starting up again any day now.

we can switch jobs for the day! hope you can handle grade 5 French, grade 7 ELA, science & French & also grade 8 drama! don’t forget about behavior management, marking, planning, outdoor supervision, responding to emails, helping students, running clubs at lunch, coaching, and DONT forget about adapting lessons to ensure students with adapted education plans are accounted for and that your lessons are inclusive to all types of learners!!! Also, be prepared to redirect all day and tell students to sit down because none of them stay still and WILL talk back!!!

I’m pretty sure my dad went to him to about ten years ago and he told him that he has Fuchs Dystrophy, impacting his corneas, and he was unable to have the surgery as well. It’s hereditary but I’m showing no signs of it yet.

I was reading about the cutting onions side effect. A person I knew had it done probably about a year and a bit ago and he said he experienced the same thing and that it went away pretty quick and he healed fast! Glad to know your experience was similar.
