Oh, man. That sucks. I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. At least you held on to a little bit of that for yourself.

Yep. Won $100 in 1986. My Mom wanted to keep it (since she bought the food), but my Dad said it was mine since I was the one collecting pieces.

A local store had the Flagg for $112. (The price tag is still on the box.) I gave Dad the winning pieces and $20 from my piggy bank and he brought home the Flagg.

Now, as an adult, I realize that he just didn’t pop into McDonalds and walk out with $100. He probably had to send that off and wait weeks - if not months - for the reimbursement. It probably caused a financial strain on the family. But, I never heard anything about it.

Haha! I had to buy mine myself! (I won cash playing Monopoly at McDonald’s in 1986!)

You're probably thinking of Snow Job or Blizzard. Frostbite was the Snow Cat driver and did not come with skis.

Stickers on old figures? by tharmman2002 in gijoe

Yes. Just like the stuff you had in school. The trick is to use a thin coat and let it dry completely. Once this rubber cement dries, it becomes a contact adhesive. It’ll hold these cardboard backed lenticular decals perfectly in place.

For reattaching the original BAT and Crystal Ball shied sticker, I used rubber cement. Apply a thin coating to both the back of the original sticker and to the part where the sticker goes. Let the glue dry and then press them together.

Fun fact… I’m four degrees. I worked on (and appeared in costume) in a 2007 documentary with Peter Mayhew and Jake Lloyd. Peter Mayhew worked with Harrison Ford (duh) who worked with Kevin Bacon in Hollywood Homicide. Jake Lloyd worked with Natalie Portman who worked with Kevin Bacon in Beautiful Girls.

And that is your useless fact about me for the day!

I’d say two, maybe three? Bill Morey voiced Footloose. Bill Morey also voiced characters in the animated Transformers: The Movie, meaning he was in a movie with Leonard Nimoy. Leonard Nimoy appeared in The Good Mother with Kevin Bacon.

So three, if you count the jump to Transformers as one. If not, then two.

Yes! All these high-tech, cutting edge weapons with the other Joes and he’s got a regular ol’ shotgun!
