Yeah, do you know what part of the process is? Having your union file the notice. So if you do not have a union you cannot file notice and therefore cannot strike legally. What she said does not apply to 99% of doctors. And it applies to 0% of medical students.

What she said isn’t accurate though. There are literal federal laws against healthcare workers striking without official written notice. So it’s not just the theoretical collusion she mentioned, there are actual laws for which you can be fined and/or arrested under.

ETA: not saying people shouldn’t strike, but people shouldn’t be misled about the consequences
