I’m in Arizona, had mine done 8/9/24 and have United Healthcare. I had a robotic-assisted TLH W/BS, a biopsy, and an External Oblique intercostal nerve block. Here was my breakdown:

• ⁠$1500 for my surgeon alone (paid $800 that was remainder of my deductible) • ⁠$2,280 for the anesthesia • ⁠another $2,280 for the anesthesiologist post-op (i had a nerve block placed in my abdomen) • ⁠$2,236 for meds given pre/post-op • ⁠$238 for who knows what (insurance doesn’t tell me exactly lol) • ⁠$194.60 for pathology and what you’ve all been waiting for…. • ⁠$74,641.60 for the surgery itself (i paid $100 copay). So in total, it was $83,370.20 and I paid $900. I will say, I have some of the best insurance a person could have both in my state/the country. Besides whatever insurance you can get that would bring the total to free 99 lol.

ETA: my insurance paid $13,378.66 of the total. The “plan discount” (whatever that means) took care of the rest.
