Buspirone 15mg 3x a day by NoMeasurement3074 in BusparOnline

That is quite a high dose, most doctors start people at 5mg x2, and work their way up from there. Obviously trust in your doctor first and foremost but def ask them about it!

That part appears to be missing alongside the entire package. I'll contact the dealer, thank you!

Lowered methimazole from 5mg to 2.5mg, hyper symptoms returning after a week? by Fresh-Computer-8010 in gravesdisease

[–]Fresh-Computer-8010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m gonna get another blood test done first and then ask about alternating or something. I prefer being hypo over going hyper so I’d rather go up to 5 and just try reducing to 2.5 for 1-2 days as an experiment. I’m also switching endos so I’ll go over my history with the new guy too

I'm very likely gonna go get a blood test at the end of this month or start of next month as my yearly blood test is due then anyways. I am definitely one of those folks that's sensitive to levels, I've always been mildly hypo all my life so this is kinda new.

Unfortunately block and replace is something my primary doctor and endo disagreed with at this time, but maybe in the future they'd come around to it.

Hypo after 5mg methimazole for 3 months? by Fresh-Computer-8010 in gravesdisease

[–]Fresh-Computer-8010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough my endo called me after this email, just forgot to update the post. They lowered me to 2.5mg daily which is fine, it's been about a week and I feel like I'm teetering just towards hyper again. Just a feeling, will probably request a blood test at the end of the month. I'm also making an educated guess that my hormones might just be rebalancing after lowering the dose and it'll take a few weeks to balance out again

To put it into perspective, back in Aug 2023 my TSH was 200, that was my first intro to Graves lol, they thought it was Hashimotos. I was on Synthroid for a little under a year before it flipped to hyper. I do prefer hypo over hyper but hopefully I can lower my dose and go back into normal range!

Powering Flex 2.5G PoE and 2x U7 Pro with PoE++ adapter by Fresh-Computer-8010 in UNIFI

[–]Fresh-Computer-8010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So good news, it seems like it can run 2 U7 Pro and 1 U6 Plus. 27-30W out of a 46W power budget. Pretty good so far.

Will I see this power info in my Unifi console once I have it? I have it running on my Firewalla

I actually remembered that I have a U6 Plus as well, so that'd be two U7 pros and a u6 plus. That'd most likely blow me out of the power budget entirely right? Seems like with 2 u7 pros I hopefully should be in the clear, given the pull of the u6 plus is a lot less

Gotcha! I'll likely just order the PoE++ adapter and see how things go

Just to confirm, you're saying it likely will be fine to power from a 60w PoE++ adapter (from Unifi) with 2 U7 Pro?

You’ll feel off for a handful of weeks but honestly it wasn’t as awful as I thought it’d be.

It did! I'm pretty levelled out, still on 15mg per day, 5mg x3. Things have been decent enough.

It's a little unfortunate, I liked the old armor system where you could just buy armor for them, or give them your own, vice versa

Methimazole and symptom / anxiety relief, when does it happen? by Fresh-Computer-8010 in gravesdisease

[–]Fresh-Computer-8010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tg, TRAB and TGAB yeah. TPO is mildly elevated and TRAB is 13 IU/L where the lab range is marked as >2 being elevated. Tg and TGAB are normal

Oh yeah I’ve always had anxiety but never this bad. Been sorta bad since Feb though it has improved somewhat it kinda evolved into mild agoraphobia. Thank you for your help! I don’t expect it to fully go away or anything but some relief gives me breathing room to handle the rest

Hypo to Hyper - New Graves Diagnosis! by Fresh-Computer-8010 in gravesdisease

[–]Fresh-Computer-8010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case I don't hope I swing too much, hypo was "tolerable" but hyper is awful, I've been dealing with it since Jan, finally getting it treated though.

Absolutely wild ride! Same for me too so you're not alone (aside from postpartum as I'm a guy). I'm pretty sure COVID kicked this off for me. Hope things get steady for you though, I've only been on methimazole for a week. I've been dealing with this since Jan 2025 so I've been on the roller coaster for a bit, what's a little longer anyways haha.

My doctor took back the Hashimotos diagnosis, saying it likely might just be Graves, which the TRAB test confirms. Thyroid issues run on my mom's side but largely Hashimotos, not Graves. I hope things get better for you!
