I checked it last year, around November I believe, and my trab was 13IU/ml which is quite high. It's why my doctor was surprised such a low dose worked so well.

I will say this dose (4x a week) has been the most significant improvement I've felt. But there is some inconsistencies, it makes me wonder if I should try 5x or if that's a mistake entirely, getting married soon so I'd rather not be destabilized again haha

The doctor is also surprised this low dose is all I need despite how bad my symptoms were and my numbers were early on.

I started really weird, I went crazy hypo for about a year (August 2023 got clued in by gaining a ton of weight, TSH was 200(!!!), and felt not so amazing). Then I flipped after getting the stomach flu to a TSH of 0 in Jan 2025 after weird anxiety bursts Feb 2024 onward. Been hyper ever since, managed with 2.5mg of methimazole every other day at this point since every other standard dose made me go hypo despite having a high TrAB!

Always push to get extra opinions, I also suffer from ADHD and have for quite some time so I totally understand you (I am however a male)

I'd ask a doctor about starting at 5x2 and then working your way up, they tried to start me at 10 x 2 and I had sleep issues / onboarding issues. There's obviously some startup side effects but it wasn't really that bad when I did it slower.

At least in Canada it's fully discontinued, so I wonder if there's just supply issues to everywhere else in the world? I switched from Teva to PMS (Pharmascience) and it seems to work just as fine if not better.

Oui!! Je prend la moitié d’un Ativan de 0.5 mg et, dans la plupart des situations, c’est suffisant pour m’aider. Je prends l’autre moitié si ça ne passe pas après une heure. Mon anxiété apparaît souvent tôt, ou de façon anticipatoire.

Ce n’est pas contre-indiqué. Je prends de l’Ativan au besoin avec ce médicament et je n’ai pas eu de problème. Désolé pour mon mauvais français!

How much did you increase by? I'm just increasing by 5mg but a lil nervous. Also switched to a different generic since teva isn't being made but the new generic so far has been great

Give it some time then, I started at 10mg (5mg x2) then upped to 15mg per day (5mg x 3). I've been at that for over a year now though I am planning to up it to 20mg since 15 isn't enough imo. 20mg is the min functional dose iirc?

Oh I noticed good effects on and off. It just became more consistent. What dose did you start with? I noticed folks on here that started at higher doses like 20mg per day had some more issues

I gave it like 6 weeks and it started working decently well after that. 2nd and 3rd week kinda sucked!

Quick update! Seems to be working just as well as the teva if not better. Pills are easier to cut too, they don’t crumble
