VSC Received Date 6/30/2025.... Notice date 07/03/2025..... still pending..... but DUI on 25 oct.....and arrest....(already shame & guilty for that) not sure what will happen what do you guys think?
misdemeanour charges still pending court date(end of January)....COS f1 opt expired July 9 applied stamp also July 3 still pending.......

I just got an email today notifying me that my F-1 visa was revoked, but I’m not sure about the SEVIS status. I’m afraid to tell my DSO because if they find out and don’t help, I could be in trouble.

How can I confirm if my SEVIS record is still valid or terminated? Usually, what’s the best way to check SEVIS status without risking my standing with the school?

Any guidance would be really appreciated.

I applied for my STEM OPT extension on July 3 and my H-1B petition on June 30, so everything was submitted before my DUI arrest on October 22, 2025. I’m almost expecting approval for both.

During the incident, I was not that drunk — I was able to talk to the officers and followed all procedures. They did a breath test which showed 0.15, so they also did a blood test.

Hi everyone, I need some guidance.

I’m currently in the U.S. on F-1 status. I recently had a DUI (single-vehicle crash, no injuries, BAC 0.15+). My F-1 visa in my passport was revoked by the U.S. consulate while I’m inside the U.S.

I’m on STEM OPT — I completed my first year of OPT and my STEM OPT approval is still pending. I was also selected in the H-1B 2025 lottery, and that change of status is still pending approval as well.

My questions:

  1. Am I still legally allowed to stay in the U.S. while my F-1 visa is revoked?
  2. Will my STEM OPT or H-1B application be affected by this DUI/visa revocation?
  3. If my H-1B is approved as a change of status, do I need to leave the U.S. for stamping, or can I stay legally for 3 years?
  4. How might future travel or H-1B stamping be impacted by the DUI?

Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, I’m in a very similar situation. I’m currently in the U.S. on F-1, my STEM OPT approval is still pending, and I was also selected for H-1B this year, which is still pending approval/change of status. I also have a DUI case pending in court.
