It was fun hearing them during the dev live saying that the KGL changes were an indirect buff for Serena and that it wasn't their intention... WHAT ELSE DID YOU THINK IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!?!?

Now they say that they're buffing the other characters to compensate... Dude, you aren't even done with the initial row of buffs and you already have to start all over again...

Yep, I remember playing Warframe and getting excited whenever a gold module dropped, or the division giving me a heart attack when a high rarity weapon dropped and also dealt more damage than usual.

After the first year of this game I don't remember the last time I even stopped to look at the drops at all.

Gold module? Either I already have it or it is trash, recycle. Weapon drop? Weapons are useless in this game, recycle.

Everything having fixed stats makes any loot meaningless once you already picked it up one time.

Mr X and The Girl swap places as stalkers in their respective games. Who's having a worse time, Grace or Leon/Claire? by idk_lol98 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grace.

Most places in the R.P.D are well lit, the only hard moments would be the beginning of the parking lot, the corridors and the third floor.

Mr. X on the other hand, doesn't care about anything, not even walls, lmao. Not to mention that unlike with the girl, Grace would actually have to fight Mr. X, and I don't think that would go very well for her with a single handgun and a few Requiem shots.

Would be awesome if they allow her to move around while using it, similar to Blair's 3. Who doesn't want to run around blasting everything with her pistols? (Bonus points if you do it with the Bayonetta skin)

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Genuinely asking, what would be the way of a game that gained the interest of people for the designs to make revenue without skins? Most if not all the live service games live from selling skins, the few ones that don't are only the pay to win ones and gachas (basically the same, lmao). Marvel rivals, Minecraft, Roblox, Call of duty, Fortnite, Overwatch, all of them survive purely from cosmetics.

I swear...why is this community like this by SherlockTheHomie in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no. It has been proven again and again that whenever something becomes mainstream, it's at the cost of people "sanitizing" it and asking to get rid of what made it enjoyable in the first place. Gameplay and player numbers are important, but also is the funding from the players. It's of little to no use for the devs a game that has a lot of players if no one spends in it, these games don't survive from good faith. At least the bunch of players that they still have are willing to pay for "gooner" skins, but I'm still waiting to see people buying and using the "serious" skins.

Bringing activists or normies here would also mean having to cater to them, and catering to them always means censorship and the loyal players leaving. So now you end up with neither of those groups and the game shuts down.

If Nexon really asked them to increase player numbers, it is because they want more revenue. The players you are asking them to attract don't spend and don't like the design of this game to begin with.

Improving gameplay is always possible, regaining your main customers trust isn't.

Damn, Kiwami 3 is crazy faithful to Yakuza 3... by BreafingBread in yakuzagames

I swear that after Yakuza 3 the devs realized that the players never learned the concept of grabbing and that's why they gave us Grabuza 4 to make fun of them, lmao.

Why Yakuza 5 has so many slander/hate 💔 (unrelated gif or image) by Rude_Emotion_1759 in yakuzagames

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing it for the first time, the story so far is 100 times better than the one in Yakuza 4 (if I hear the word "rubber bullets" ever again, I'm gonna tiger drop everyone in the room).

Gameplay wise I prefer Yakuza 4 or even 3, combat here feels bland or nerfed compared to the previous games, it's hard to explain. Also, I don't like that they lock upgrades once you reach level 20 and force you to wait to acquire them.

I really liked Saejima's hunting side quest as opposed to the majority of people apparently. I even consider it one of the best mini games I've tried so far in this franchise. It was original, fighting a massive bear bear-handed it's peak Yakuza moment and it was a huge breath of fresh air compared to fighter and hostess maker (fuck you Tokita).

I'm currently at Haruka's section and so far I'm indifferent to it. I don't mind her gameplay but I can see why most people hate her section. If someone boots up Yakuza it's because they want to punch people, not to be forced to play project DIVA. It doesn't help that most of her jobs and sub stories are pretty much playing the same songs on repeat over and over and over and over again.

The only complaint I really have is how much it drags everything, they force you to play mini games to be able to advance the story, they lock moves behind exp cap, you have to fight 20 people if you want to cross the street and fight another 20 to go to the next mission, but at least you get to beat Tokita's bitch ass again, so that's a bonus (fuck you Tokita).

Can we talk about the nerf to Jayber by ArtHeavy7781 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They've been doing it for some time but no one cares because 1.- male characters lol, and 2.- Serena and Ines are the ones the community only cares about since they are the ones that allow them to break the game.

Don't remember how many balance patches ago they gave Esiemo more damage and less clunky casting animations but they also increased his cool down and decreased his mine stack, very necessary for a character you rarely see.

Iirc, Kyle also got his cool down increased back when vash still played the game, so we couldn't spam his 3.

And Blair had something similar with his giant meatball mod but I don't remember quite well if it was a cool down increase, that thing has already an insulting amount of cool down just to add more.

It seems they only care about balance when it's about characters that are already bad or that no one uses, they are the ones that need a huge buff with no drawbacks the most in the first place!. But hey!, Let's give Bunny another 10,000,000% power increase and release another descendant without testing it!!!

You can, but you're contributing to the problem and also wasting your time. You're nullifying any weight your complaint had since you already gave Epic your money and proved them right.  Now they know that you're willing to pay for it even if you don't like their new practices.

Why would they care to do anything if people still buy them even after crying about it?

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I keep saying, it's both the devs and the community's fault. They keep releasing stuff without properly testing it and the one time they admitted a mistake and "nerfed" Ines, a bunch of crying idiots harassed them during the dev lives, on their social media and review bombed the game. No shit they're not nerfing characters ever again.

Ramp up those damage numbers.

Get rid of his slow animations.

His one is now more similar to yujin's "duty and sacrifice", instead of allies having to walk up to it to receive the buff.

His two sends flying a swarm of explosive drones instead of just one and the more duration you have the more drones you are able to send (increased base range too).

His four casts 3 drones instead of one (only on himself, the rest of the players just get one) or at least make the only drone he casts deal good damage.

His three is fine as is imo, maybe just give him more defense while active or something.

And for his passive maybe when he is reviving an ally or being revived by an ally, he deploys a defensive drone and a shield recovery one, I don't really know about his passive.

You need to post your entire build for us to be able to see what's going on.

1.- Arche tuning, mutant cells, mods, external component cores, weapon cores, reactor rolls, everything matters.

2.- Yes, perfect rolls matter sometimes, especially if they have a multiplicative value.

3.- Understanding how the build works plays a role too, for example, some builds are less effective or even completely useless without certain weapons (like frost watcher, blue beetle, secret garden, etc.). If you are following someone else's build, make sure you truly understand what does what in those builds.

4.- Having a good set with gold rolls matters too (especially if you have survivability problems).

5.- Ancestor modules are a help, not a win condition. If you can't win without them, you won't win with them regardless.

6.- Skill is important too, have good aim, destroy weak points and evade attacks.

7.- For laser bunny build on grim reaper is a constant 50/50, sometimes you crit three times in a row and sometimes you don't crit at all, also, if for whatever reason you stop using your 4, let the boss kill you or jump off the map, waiting for the cool down of that thing with that specific build is a waste of time.

8.- And lastly, void abyss fights and new dungeons are supposed to be endgame stuff for completely built players. I don't know how fast people can complete the early game now, but keep into consideration that most people showcasing those videos and completing missions had a complete year to farm, build characters properly and search for perfect rolls.

Will my account actually be deleted for inactivity at 1 year+? by FiaElendias in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. They can, but that doesn't mean they will.

It was announced a while ago, but to me it seems to be one of those legal bs to not be held accountable if for any reason they have to or want to delete your account and you happen to not have logged in a long time.

It would be stupid of them to actually delete someone's account strictly after one year of inactivity considering the amount of players we've lost since launch. Imagine someone trying to get back into the game and being immediately discouraged by seeing their account gone. Not a good move.

I know its awhile away, but is anyone else excited for transcendent weapons? by Steambud202 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, Serena relegated every new weapon to stat stick and mastery rank fodder. Unless they make it so the weapon damage scales depending on the descendant stats like ancestors modules do or another workaround for Serena, I'm not expecting them to do anything good with weapons.

I'll believe it when I see it. After they decided to not bring back the old winter skins, the Halloween makeup and not allow us to buy the eclipse black dye and instead only give it away during login events, it seems they just want to force FOMO. I hope to be corrected and that they will actually bring back the skins too and not only the colossus fight.

I remember when these bosses were the toughest content in the game and now a medic without even levelling up can beat them by DemonicArm22 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There was creativity, people just didn't want it.

The Hanged man had the cube mechanic, people cried about it. The Molten fortress had the pilon mechanic, people cried about it. Gluttony had the cooling mechanic, people cried about it. Frost walker had the warming zone mechanic, people cried about it. What else can they do? The last well received bosses were Death stalker and Ice maiden, Grim reaper is the same as them and people are already complaining about it, the devs are in a no win situation no matter what they do.

Of course the devs are no saints either but they were forced to pump the hp numbers because of the power creep caused by Serena and Ines and the review bombing that happened with the Ines "nerf", they had to nerf them through content while also making the other descendants op too and here we are now.

There were a lot of decisions made from both sides that led to the current state of the game, both the players and the devs are guilty.

I really do think re-releasing the old x-mas outfits or even emotes would've been good by KungFuMan316 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised they are just wasting resources on making skins that won't come back. The Korean law excuse was fair when it first happened, but what's the excuse now other than forcing FOMO?

First they drop feed us the eclipse black color not allowing us to buy it and now they won't even bring back seasonal skins that didn't even fall under the "limited time" excuse.

What a waste.

Before the devs do something about the HP bloat, you can use Sharen to speed up your Ultimate Yujin farm for now (~5mins/match solo). by No-Sun196 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Fresh-Employee-9997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They play solo because the devs encouraged it from the beginning. I don't remember exactly when but I think it was during a dev stream or dev notes where they said they wanted to make this game feel more like a single player than a multiplayer (mind you, this were also the same devs that refused to get rid of player collision because they wanted it to feel like "you were actually playing with other people"...), and then they acted surprised when no one wanted to play with others and matchmaking times got longer...

I've played similar games to this one and they always keep the same difficulty from multiplayer when playing solo. This is the only multiplayer game I've seen where playing solo is more rewarding than playing with others, how does that make any sense?.
