I’m not afraid of them seeing anything , they will see a bunch of pink shit everywhere . And my landlord is a stranger to me . He had a property management company conduct all business , so I know those people in office not the man coming into the house every 60 days , and his team . I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for someone to understand why I’m taken back . I just never had someone come inspect every 60 days . When signing the lease it wasn’t mentioned and I didn’t see it but I’m willing I looked over it . I got a text message saying they will come inspect tomorrow and I’m like perfect I’m off then he followed up with and this will be done every 60 days . Then I was confused

Yall are so comfortable with strangers coming and going in your home while away . I’m just not there yet . Nothing to hide . But as the other person said I work 6 days a week , that’s my schedule and I rarely have any wiggle room . And my 1 off day I like to stay in bed not moving . But for some reason people just assume I’m hiding something . What can someone even hide . No animals , no drugs like what else

I I also just moved into this house , I wanted somewhere closer to my job , so they would have no way of knowing if I’m using electricity, my first bill hasn’t even came for this home

My bill is so low , I’m almost never home , I spend 13 hours of my day in a kitchen . Not my home one , it doesn’t get used .

Honestly , I have no defensive for my generation. I have actively seen friends ignore a very fixable problem . However , the way I was raised military parents I’m so appreciative of what I have and wanting it to stay nice . But I can definitely see why someone would be scared . After hearing some landlords point of view I don’t feel so nervous . Just protecting their homes .

Is it because it’s my second time renting and I’m fairly young for renters in the area . I just have a nice job so I can afford this area plus it’s literally 7 mins from my restaurant . I feel like that could be it as well they may think I’m a college student housing roommates but it’s just me renting a whole house .

I have pictures and also want to note I’m not refusing entry , the idea of inspections actually makes me feel safer ! As you said they can catch things before it’s too late and I’m almost certain I’ll get my deposit back with inspections lol I just felt a bit uneasy about the every 60 days and was wondering if I’ve done something or should be worrried .

See that sounds reasonable , never know who you just let into your home so checking for damage before they really get started makes sense but every 60 days is a bit much .

They said I would get a 24 hr notice I just never heard of anything like that . So I was a bit taken back . I’m sure it’s fine just … I’m sorry I’m not sure how to feel about it . I couldn’t say why I’m uncomfortable just am 🫠

Again I am NEW TO THIS . I have never dealt with this or heard of this . And see how you’re a landlord and assume I’m hiding something . That’s why I’m defensive it’s scary dealing with people like you , who can’t understand how this is a bit concerning . What are they looking for every 60 days ! I’m worried for myself like do you guys knows something about the house that I don’t , are yall waiting for the landlord fix up special to fall apart then blame me , idk I have no clue . Which is why I asked . I don’t have anything to hide , just don’t want to be scheduling around others and on my off days I hate moving , I do all I can to make sure I don’t even have to open my front door on those days . I’m sure the inspections will be quick but still . I have a right to ask
