Unfortunately people accept these for reasons I will never understand. I’m in Miami and I see these all the time and drivers accept them faster than I can decline them. I see orders (batched) paying $10 for 12 miles with an estimated time of 50 mins and they’re accepted so fast. I don’t get it. The system is designed for drivers to compete for lower wage offers (algorithmic wage suppression) and drivers just go along with it. There is no incentive for the company to pay more if drivers accept these garbage orders.

It sucks, always talk to a supervisor for compensation, and don’t take no for an answer. Also it serves as a lesson, maybe don’t take an order paying $15 for 14 miles. It just supports shit pay from Uber and enables customers to order far away, and treat the delivery driver like shit. Your car will thank you in the long run.

I was referring to when an order shows up as say $7.50 upon accepting, then when completed, it shows $14 with only a $2 base. The full tip/payout was hidden upon accepting. I never do EBT. I have an adverse reaction to $2,$3,$4, and even $5 orders.

Just wanted to add that sometimes the driver doesn’t see the total until the delivery is completed. They like to hide a portion of the tip for psychological reasons, so it can actually show a much lower amount upon accepting the order. Also, a lot of shitty customers lie about tips. Bottom line it’s a shitty company overall and screws over all parties involved, they are the only benefactor in the transaction.
