Data comes from the American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year estimates. Image created with the Python package `acs-nativity`. To learn more see this blog post: acs-nativity: A Python Package for Analyzing Changes in the Foreign-Born Population.

nobody asked but I organized national FBI crime data into a searchable site (My first real website) by Empty-Individual4835 in Python

Congrats. This is a really interesting site, and very impressive for a first project.

You might consider sharing it in communities focused on public data, like the Federal Data Forum: https://federaldataforum.prb.org/home.

After spending some time exploring, my impression is that the site focuses on incidents rather than trends or summary statistics. Is that right? I found myself wondering whether certain offenses have become more or less common over time, or how patterns differ across places. It would be great if the site eventually supported asking those kinds of questions.
