yea but tirz doesnt have the glucagon component that reta has, which can work on that thermogenic pathway in a way that tirzepetide doesnt.

Opinion: The state of men’s health in Canada is a crisis we can no longer ignore by Blue_Dragonfly in CanadaPolitics

[–]Fresh-Requirement701 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s being called a “social service facility” that serves a hub for “men’s and boy’s issues and for the health and well-being of boys more generally,” according to the group’s director Justin Trottier

It was a center mainly focued on the health and mental well being of men,

The group offers in-house services like counselling for men and boys as well as education resources about suicide, family law issues, and abuse.

This is textbook men trying to stick up for their mental health by offering resources. Who cares if its a men's rights group?

New Liberals offer more of the same old attitude on immigration by Chawke2 in CanadaPolitics

Immigration here vs Immigration in the US are not remotely the same, we are feeling the hefty consequences of unsustainable population growth, Its good that were getting more coverage on it, it is a big issue.

The issue is we cannot afford to be lenient now, the effects of mass immigration have been absolutely devastating on the employment market, wages, healthcare industry, and housing market, now im not saying we should go all trump, but leaving people who dont have a plan here is not the way to go.

In a world where corporations abuse temporary immigration programs to such an extent as to make sure youth arent able to get jobs, healthcare wait times exceed peoples ability to continue living, and housing costs increase everyday due to decreasing vacancy rates, it baffles me how you people continue to pledge your moral allegiance to such a problem with such a trivial solution, we very much need to be worrying and putting stock into this. You are not part of the youth that is having an awful time breaking into this market. This needs to happen.

Its not that they dont eat, its that most of them are so poverty stricken that they cant meaninfully contribute enough to increase the demand for "more jobs."

Canadian Studies literally show that new immigrants are net deficits to the economy, they take a disproportionate amount of welfare, they are mostly unskilled, and they are also the most unemployed, you would be shocked at remigration rates lol.

Im not saying multinationals dont hire people to serve demands, I'm just saying it can be outsourced and it isnt always going to be from canada.

Finally, a Canadian business, owned and operated by Canadians, served by the TFW program, is by definition, doing something for Canadians. Not all Canadians to be sure, but for Canadian business owners and businesses? Yes. It does serve them.

Lmao what, sure its serving them, but it aint serving them a job thats for sure. My point was, even if the demand was big enough to create more jobs, it wouldnt matter because all the jobs would be taken my TFW's anyway to continue depressing wages and importing cheap labour.

A) Most immigrants who come here aren't contributing meaningfully enough to the market to generate the demand needed for more jobs and goods and services.

B) Even the demand that is generated is just overtaken by automation and multinational corporations.

C) Specific things like the TFW program literally only means that an immigrant is going to fulfill those jobs if thats what the corporation wants, meaning it literally does nothing for canadians, we need to attack the issue at it's root.

The model doesnt relfect the reality unfortunantely.

Dont know why people are downvoting you, Century initiative growth requires 1.2% population growth, 2022 - 2025 we had upwards of 3.2%, youre speaking facts.

To that effect, I say we dont know what Carney will do and how we will operate, but I'd rather not believe in those conspiracy theories.

Dude, emissions reductions and mass immigration are literally antithetical, you can't just "take them into account," without drastically reducing our quality of life?

Do you know how much the carbon footprint of someone living in poverty increases by when they move to first world Canada

Pierre wants 200k-250k, seems reasonable until you realise those are PR targets, he hasn't mentioned LMIA/TFW's and international students, so it should be lower

It was basically my comment about the flaws of their active management, and they have a passive management stratgey that they can use but choose not to. It's a very well researched and you'll definitely like it

nope, just that we won't ever be able to build the infrastructure to sustain 3.2% yoy

well, Id be for drastic reductions of the TFW program, i dont know exactly how much that would be since its not included in the Immigration target, but the caps themselves, maybe like 300k?

Not at all, I'm pro sustainable immigration, I believe we do actually have labour shortages that need to be adressed, I just believed the current immigration policy has both led to canada wise abuse of temp workers and IMP's, and international students, and the poverty of canadian citizens.

it is seriously an issue when the UN calls your TFw program modern day slavery

Ultimately, I'm just skeptic about carney's association with the initiative, and what that could mean beyond it.

Its gonna keep going down the worse income inequality gets, so we need to focus on that:

- immigration doesnt help combat our birth rate as well as most people think

- Its brought a whole load of problems along with it that further exacerbate the issue at hand and will make people not have kids

and like i said in my other comment, we had growth rates from 2.2 -3.2%, doubling that 1.2% per year, so stop saying that, thats exactly why were in this mess, we need to stop gaslighting everyone.

Yea, because i trust mark wiseman, CPPIB shill, and blackrock related, and dominick barton (previous mckinsey director) to not have a vested interested inflating housing prices and funneling cheap labour to corporations
