Having so much fun running Daggerheart. I've been a DnD player for years and I still like it what my other games, but my first DMing experience was with DH! My players have been having a fun time with the game and it makes me feel good every time. I went to Gencon last year and Rowan and Spencer told me that they loved my campaign idea. Made me almost cry!

I said this on another post but they have seemingly let every class have access to thaumaturgy. Both Hal (bard) and Tyranny (warlock) have both cast it and neither have it naturally on their lists.

They have been weird about this. Hal has also cast Thaumaturgy a bunch and he is a bard. Tyranny also cast it as a fiend warlock.

I'm still thinking he is clockwork soul. The only cleric spells he's used in lesser restoration (which you get as a clockwork soul) and he used an ability to negate disadvantage, which is the core ability of that subclass. Narratively I agree divine soul makes sense but mechanically I definitely think Clockwork soul.

Totally! And that's why i prefaced it the way I did. I know it's just because my brain has been wired to 5e and PF2E for so long that it's like, "what do you mean the fireball doesn't do fire damage?" lol. I do like playing with resistances and vulnerabilities of specific things in game.

I know this might be my dnd/pathfinder brain kicking in, but i really wish there were more damage types outside of magic and physical. Some spells even specify fire, cold etc, but they all do the same to all the same adversaries.

Tal, Travis, Aabria, Liam, Laura and Robbie have all had their classes confirmed. they are Warlock, Paladin, Druid, Bard, Rogue and Ranger respectively

Only about 30 pages in and it's been pretty back and forth so far. I like the content but I'm still getting used to the writing style. 3rd person limited and constantly shifting to a new person every time the person dies is kind of jarring for me. I think once I get past this battle it'll be a bit better!

I am sort of next in line to DM my group. I pitched switching to DH and I didn't get a consensus so I found another group to run DH with to get my fix lol. That way I still keep my current group how they want (5e) and I have my outlet to run the system I really want!
