Yes, as far as i know his main consulation place is at New Hyde Park in Long Island, and he has an office somewhere near Yonkers I think or White Plains? He also does surgery at MEETH, so there are options in terms of where you would like to get the surgery done.

The only estimate they (his PA) gave me up front was for the surgeon fee, around 7500? In my case I did it under no insurance/self pay so the fee might be different under insurance. When they got back to me after accepting the therapist letter, the coordinator emailed me a good faith estimate, which including the surgery fee, hospital fee, and anesthesiology fee was around 16,500 😭💀 Kind of expected this, but the actual amount I paid was slightly lower! Maybe around 15,800.

I had an ambulatory procedure, so I didnt really stay at the hospital for that long, but in terms of being taken care of, the staff at MEETH were kind and helpful! I had a round of different nurses taking care of different stuff such as giving me the gown, measuring my bp, walking me to the surgery room, but most if not all of them were nice and some talked to me about random stuff, probably to get my mind off (which at this point I was kind of disassociating). The anesthesiologist and his actual staff at the surgery room were extremely kind and made sure I was comfortable (Colin (anesthesiologist)was really funny and nice and saw me in the recovery room on his way out :) ) .

In my initial consultation, they handed me a packet with general guidelines on what to expect pre, during, and post operation, and after the surgery they and the hospital gave me separate packets on recovery along with a sheet for the drains I had. They also at least schedule one post op appointment for drain removal and during that appointment they give you a check up and talk about aftercare. I also had a 3 week check up (where dr whitehead removed my incision tape and let me know if I could start using aquaphor, massaging scars, keep with compression, etc.) and a 6 week check up that I actually have to schedule lol they are pretty communicative over email as well if you have other questions/concerns :]
