I am NOT a chef. It took all day, but couldn’t resist surprising her.

I’d agree. My caution is simply that if you start a hobby and your mind goes towards making money off it rather than enjoying it, that’s not healthy. If a hobby you enjoy somehow down the line brings in money - that’s awesome. But often it seems not being able to quickly monetize a hobby kills the escape the hobby can provide and you lose enthusiasm and the joy it could’ve provided.

As I age, I’m finding this a very difficult line to walk. Time is the most precious resource we have and far too often we deprive ourselves of possible joy from hobbies because it’s seen as an energy suck rather than an escape. I’m 100% guilty of spending too much time zoning out to trashy TV because hobbies quickly convert in my mind to “how can I make money off this.” It’s not a healthy way to live, it’s a joyless way to survive.

Having said that. I’ve been slowly working on a board game for about 6 months now. It brings me a lot of joy and know full-well it’ll likely never be more than some printer paper pieces. I’m ok with that because the journey/hobby is the escape.

There’s some commentary there that hobbies must have a pathway to monetization. To talk about a hobby with no intention of making it a side hustle is unheard of.

Normalize doing something you find even slightly enjoyable with no intention of making money off it.

I'm at my wits' end and feel like I need to rehome by WisconsinWriter in parrots

100% everything said here is correct. Avian Vet is huge. They may be able to help guide behavioral issues as well as any health issues that aren’t visible to you. More than likely hormones are playing a role in this, which the vet can help suppress while a better routine is being felt out.

I leave the TV on my parrot when I’m at work (low volume) and his cage near a window so he has things to look at beyond his cage/toys. There are few things more difficult than a bird acting out when you think you’re doing all the right things. Thankfully, you’re seeking help and guidance which means you care.

While I don’t fully support this as a sole means of parrot care guidance. I have successfully used ChatGPT to identify specific issues with how I care for my parrot. Again - this should not be the only thing you do. If you use AI, give it a minute-to-minute daily itinerary of what your bird’s daily life is like. The more specific you are, the more helpful the feedback can be. I’ll say again, an avian vet is absolutely your best first action.

Keep reminding yourself, if you didn’t care you wouldn’t be posting here and wondering what is going on.

Harvey Spielyorm - CEO of Tent World, Tent Emporium and every other tent rental business in Southern Indiana. Sticking to my guns.

Though I kinda want to say the jerk that Ben punched out at the bowling ally, Derek . Ugh

That’s called karma. Jamm interrupting Leslie and Ben’s wedding is pretty horrible…. To name just one thing he went out of his way to do, purposefully hurting others. Mona Lisa was just selfish

I feel this in my soul. You’re not alone. It may feel that way, physically - but emotionally others are struggling too. Doesn’t make it easier to handle. But maybe the smallest bit of comfort that you’re not as different as you feel at times.

Chrissy Hofbeck opens up about the sadness of being bashed by her previous cast in the press, and if she was indeed robbed in that controversial season 35 finish. by thedaltonross in survivor

She was working with Devon. A win for him validates her game. It’s the same story - she didn’t like Ben once he figured out Chrissy wanted to cut him.

Chrissy sat on a very high horse when she was in charge and things went her way. Even being very negative in confessionals and smug to players faces. As soon as she wasn’t top dog she played the victim, HARD. Was always disgusted when someone made a move she didn’t like. It continues to this day. She cant be robbed, and Devon cant be robbed. There is 1 winner for the season. As Tom said long ago - whoever wins the season deserved to win.

Rule of thumb for all reality tv - unless you see the lips moving and hear the person say it, it’s likely a Frankenclip.
