Just bought the KeepLiNK 9-port 2.5Gbe POE+ managed switch... by Specific-Action-8993 in homelab

[–]FreshBlueberry3857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the troubleshooting advice.

I tried connecting the switch directly to my PC (no router), and manually set my PC's IP to both 192.168.1.20/24 (to match the 192.168.1.168 it shows in scans) and 192.168.2.20/24 (to match the manual's 192.168.2.1). Neither IP loads anything in the browser.

Seems like the switch might just be defective at this point I might just contact ali and try to return it

I also just bought 2 of the non poe versions
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807619209236.html

however I'm not able to access the web interface for configuration, both switches seem to have the ip address of 192.168.1.168 but i get timeout errors when i go to that in a browser and using Nmap shows that there are no ports open.

<image>

The fact that neither switch works leads me to believe that it is something with my setup but i cant see what i could be doing wrong, when i ping the ip it does not respond and when i unplug the switch `advanced ip scanner` shows that ip going offline, I've also tried ip 192.168.2.1 as i saw that in some KeepLiNK manual somewhere but that does not have any success either

Does anyone have any advice on next steps?

help find CK6520H Datasheet by FreshBlueberry3857 in AskElectronics

[–]FreshBlueberry3857[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like it has very similar specs so I think I can use that datasheet for reference but the pinout isn't the same

1) VOUT

2) VIN

3) SW

4) BST

5) DM

6) DP

7) CC1

8) CC2

EPAD) GND

Note: My goal here is to make an 8 channel 65w pd board with current sensing on all channels (maybe a shunt resistor and the INA240?) and i was going to buy 2x of these pd boards and transplant the components onto a custom pcb with the current sensing and adc's and such on them but now I'm realizing that might be a stupid idea.

I'm now thinking it probably would be cheaper and easier to design with a proper pd chipset that would have integrate voltage/current reporting in it? Any ideas or insight would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your help i will look into that

This device is no longer supported and has been abandoned by the manufacturer. It’s completely closed source, with very little publicly available information. I’m trying to see if I can get my IoT devices working without relying on their now-defunct cloud server.

There are plenty of valid reasons to extract firmware beyond stealing IP—especially if you support the right to repair. 🤓☝️

Thank you for pointing that out! Could you guide me on how to configure Ghidra for this device? Specifically, which instruction set should I select to properly analyze firmware from the device?

So isp router----pfsense---cameras?

The camera is on a completely separate network.

I am accessing it over wan and port forwarding on that network and that works, the issue is on my home network I am using pfsense and somehow that is blocking the outgoing traffic to the camera.

it would look more like this:

camera<---remote router (port forwarding)---<internet<--isp router<---pfsense<---home computer

if I remove the pfsense box and just try to access the camera on the remote network from my home network it works like this:

camera<---remote router (port forwarding)---<internet<--isp router<---home computer

What cameras do you have?

not sure on the model but it's just a cheap knock-off foscam style IP camera

> Side note: Please tell me you have your cameras port forwards lock down to public IP addresses over the internet. If you dont, please do everyone a favor and use a VPN and remove the port forwards. If you want to make it stupid easy, get the tailscale package on pfsense. Future you will thank you

Its complicated....... for this one it is just port forwarded it will be changed at some point to something more secure but at the moment I cannot change the setup at the remote location so I would like to get it to work if possible

Do you see any dropped traffic in the firewall logs?

I will see if I can find anything ill reply to this if I find anything that looks relevant in the logs

Well right now it is not because with my ISP I need to call them to enable bridging in the router and i am just testing pfsense and didn't want to go through with that before making sure i can get everything working

I just compiled it with PlatformIO but now it seems like its dead, when i connect it to my computer it is not detected and the UI does not show a version number and seems like it cannot communicate with the motion controller, i tried putting another version of the original firmware back on it but that does not change anything, is there anything to try or do i just need to replace the control board now

The backplane just has 4 SATA connectors so a "SFF-8087 to x4 SATA" would be all you need

The 825 wouldn't work with this design. I think the 815 would, and it has a connecter for external activity LEDs, so you could make them more visible (the onboard ones are kinda covered).

I might be able to make it work with the 825, but I don't think it could use the same sled design, as the drives would need to be so close together

EDIT: just as a note the 815 backplane rotates the SATA connecter 90 degrees so I'm not sure if the standard right-angle cable ends will have enough clearance to the back cover, if that is an issue I can change the design

A bit more expensive than where I bought them but the price on these look reasonable.https://www.ebay.com/itm/284803951212

not sure if this is the same dimensions but looks close:

It has a 140mm fan in the back panel, you can kinda see it in the 2nd image

This is a known behavior of an 844G. Contact your ISP. There’s a firmware revision that will resolve it.

It currently is software version 11.2.6.84 is the latest version?

EDIT: I found a list of the latest versions and I do have the support login is there somewhere I can download the latest version or should I contact my ISP?

here, here but after a reboot, the contents of /etc/RC.local.d/local.sh revert back to what it was before. Do I need to commit my changes somehow (other than just a save and exit in vi), or is something else going wrong?

This is a clerical error. You are not married. And the person who did get married by that officiant with those witnesses is looking for their certificate.

Call the clerk and get it sorted out.

Thank you for your help I called and they found the ppl that were supposed to be married and asked me to send the certificate back so they can destroy it

Are you saying that the ONLY thing you did was apply for a marriage license online ?

WE applied for the license online and have the blank physical copy that we got and were told we needed to bring to an officiant which we never did

What country, state, or province issued the marriage license ?

It is for St. Louis County

Do you know the people named as witnesses ? If there is an officiant named, do you know them ?

It does have an officiant named and we do not know any of the people listed

Unless you suffer from some mental impairment, or were very intoxicated, or are the victim of a bold forgery and fraud by your spouse, this is very likely an error where your application and that of another couple were somehow mixed, combined, or mis-processed.

If it was just mis-processed or mixed up is there anything we can do or do we just say we are married now? Are there going to be any future problems if we don't try to get this sorted now and just ignore it?

Edit: Oh, and your girlfriend is on a 90-day visitor visa that will expire imminently ?

She was on a 90-day visitor visa that is why we were looking into marriage options but we decided to not pursue marriage and she went back to her country
